The chef selects each piece, before hand-cutting and seasoning the thick, tender and juicy steaks to your specifications, then to seal in the flavor, we flash-sear your steak on our special high-heat grills. I have eaten here twice in the past year. Once in the formal dining room and more recently in the bar area. This restaurant is known for its steak and seafood fare. They do both very well. If you are looking for good people watching then definitely get a table in the bar area. They have live music on the weekend and a spacious bar area. Try one of the table side prepared dishes for an added special experience. Be aware that an average dinner for two with appetizers and drinks will set you back around $150.00! Hard on the budget but worth it.

If you like burned, blackened meat this is the place for you.

Let's face it, what steakhouse isnt overpriced. We all know that going in.

But you would expect them to know how to cook their overpriced meat wouldn't you?

Myself and a group of 7 co-workers descended on Eddie Merlot's loading up on appetizers and wine in preparation for our fantastic steak entrees.

Every one of our steaks arrived burned and over-cooked.

While some in the group said they liked this "burned" flavor none of us finished our steak as most of it was wasted.

If I wanted a piece of charcoal for dinner I would buy a bag of Kingsford and eat it.

Eddie Merlot's was a waste of time and money.

Go to Ruth's Chris where they have exceptional food and service.

We've gone here a lot lately. It's a great quality meal with a pleasing atmosphere. Once we sat in the bar area which was nice but the chairs were a little deep for a petite person. Highly recommended for a special occassion or night out with friends.

OK so you should know at the start that if you plan on eating a good steak here that it may wind up being an expensive evening. But Eddie Merlot's is rated one of the best so the experience is worth it. Steaks are generally a la carte but "dinners" come with 2 sides. The Bone-in Fillet is amazaing as are most of the other steaks. The Mac and Cheese side is a rich version of mom's home-made baked macaroni and cheese, and is a real treat. My wife and one other guest had the Tile Fish special for about $30 and raved about how good it was all night. The service was excellent as usual (thank you Curtis). All in all a great night. We hope to be back soon.

The staff knows how to treat you right at Eddie Merlot's! The food is always fantastic. Go for the blue cheese potato chips for an appetizer, but don't eat them all or you won't have room for your dinner!
