Usually most wine tasting rooms are closed on Tuesdays, so all but a few were not available this stay. Hotel in easy walking distance to restaurant/tasting room locations. Wine bar, Vintage Cellars was open for tasting and appetizers. Respectable selection of white or reds with a tasting for a fee. Wine bar stays open later than most winery tasting rooms, so a good option for the late arriver.

We always start with Best Western and had passed Kootenai River Inn many times on our way to Canada. We are now very please we decided to stop this time. We stayed here on our way to and from the Best Western Invermere Inn, Canada. This was a great trip assisted by great Best Western people.

After 100 miles on the western slope, we arrived to a room that was actually too cool, but felt good. The location is a couple of blocks from at least 10 restraunts and 100 feet from one. It was a restful night stay without incident.

This was our second stay at this hotel. The first stay, a couple years ago, was better.

The staff was mostly friendly and helpful, especially the lady running the breakfast room. She worked her butt off! They have cookies on the hotel desk after about 7PM. We asked for some milk and the desk clerk gave it to us, no charge. He even asked if we wanted 2% or skim!

The room was clean and comfortable. The tub was clean enough for my wife to use, which is pretty rare. The fridge was larger than most with a big freezer, which is important to us when we're on the Harley in hot weather so we can freeze plenty of water for the next day.

We didn't like the "econo mode" on - off style AC unit with no provision for a constant fan. It was pretty warm and humid when we stayed so the AC would kick on and off all night, waking us up just about every time.

We were given a room with a door adjoining the room next door and our neighbor was a rude loud mouth who stayed up talking (loudly) until around 2 AM. If we stay here again we'll make sure it's not an adjoining room or go on down the road.

The breakfast was pretty good but we made our own coffee due to hotel coffee being mostly dishwater. They had real orange juice.

If you're travelling on a motorcycle they will let you park under the entryway awning if there's room. On our last stay here we were lucky in this respect. This time, probably due to all the Sturgis rally traffic, we didn't get that lucky.

They have 1 washer and dryer, which is pretty marginal for a hotel this size, but we were lucky enough to get in.

Room Tip: The Mexican restaurant next door is pretty good if you get in early.

Not the best BW we have ever stayed at but certainly good. Adam at the desk very friendly. We did not try the pool. No queens left so I had a hide a bed which was just so-so. It was a King room with a sofa...but not a pull out sofabed like we had in a Super 8 the previous 2 nights in Gardnier MT (that sofabed was very comfortable). The breakfast was good.....cheese omlettes, ham, sausage and bacon. Small breakfast area and there was a family reunion staying there that took it over and were very loud and made it their meeting room.....I saw many folks get their food and take it to their rooms to escape the noise. Walking distance to a couple of restaurants.

This is convenient to downtown restaurants and tasting rooms. The indoor pool is refreshing after a hard day of tasting wine. The rooms are clean and worth the money. The front desk staff are friendly.
