The Saffron Mediterranean Kitchen was amazing! From the food to the service to the intimate little setting downtown... it all works! On our first night, we had an heirloom salad with olives and tried two of their pasta dishes - both wow! The thing that sold us on coming again was this flatbread dessert with fresh peaches. One of the best desserts we've ever had. We went back on the final night of our trip and tried the streak (good) and then this magical chicken dish - can't say enough. And of course, had the peach dessert again. The wine selection was as you would expect ...very good and the service impeccable - really friendly. No one should go to Walla Walla without visiting at least once! Make reservations as it's small and fills up!

Second night in Walla Walla and birthday dinners here were unbelievable. I had the lamb tine which was absolutely amazing. No visit to Walla Walla is complete without dinner at Saffron's Mediterranean Kitchen. Don't miss out.

Saffron Med Kitchen wins the "best of" from us for Walla Walla dining this trip. Having read numerous reviews, we had to give this place a shot.
Both couples shared Saffron's Tomato Salad. These were terrific, fresh and delicious in every way. A great start to our meal. Everyone except me had the special of the night, a NY Strip with a Mediterranean spin (of course). The steaks were very well prepared. I had to try try the Lamb Tagine, which I guess can be best described as a savory lamb stew. It was superb.
Dessert was a chocolate terrine and Panna Cotta for everyone to share. Outstanding!
Our server, Danielle, like practically everyone else in Walla Walla, was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Much to our pleasure, she can also dish out the banter our group playfully tossed her way. It makes the meal even more special when you feel like you've made a new friend at the end of a meal. Make sure you get reservations because this is a tiny place, even by WW standards I'm told.

Flavorful, good presentation. They keep one table by the door for diners without reservations. Being close to the door was no problem; there's a buffer area.

Every aspect of our visit to the Saffron restaurant was incredible. The service was top notch and personal. The food was some of the best we have ever had. It is fresh and exquisitely prepared. The menu changes periodically with the availability of foods. We had numerous appetizers but the octopus was incredible and melted in our mouths. The pork belly flatbread was also incredible. Our entrees were amazing. Like I said the menu changes often but I'm confident that anything they prepare would be amazing. The seating is limited so advanced reservations are a must. Don't forget dessert as they are definitely worth trying out. Great selection of beverages.
We will definitely go there again when we are in town.
