My husband and I lucked out when we showed up to Saffron without a reservation as they had a table outside that had just opened up. My advice to you, still make a reservation if you can. We told the servers we could understand if they couldnt seat us but they got us in quickly and we happy when we told them to take their time with us since they were so rushed.

We ordered a mezze of hummus and the patatas bravas. The were in a great spicy sauce. We also ordered two flat breads, the Pide and Lahmacun. Both were excellent and our server spaced our meal very well. We enjoyed some wine with dinner but I couldnt tell you what we ordered. All in all it was a great experience.

On vacation, four of us arrived at Saffron early for our reservation. Our reservation was made months earlier by calling and talking to the restaurant representative. After talking to three different "greeters" at the door, our reservations were not found. "Please stand outside while we look , so you don't block the entry for other customers" (with reservations)..... We were told that our reservations were not found and after multiple questions asking us "who did you talk to", "what number did you call" ???? NEVER did the manager say "we made a mistake". It was clearly our fault. We were not offered any option to dine with them that evening.. We essentially were told.. "go somewhere else". We did and I hope that you "go somewhere else" too.

We made our reservation one month in advance. Upon arriving we found out they had lost our reservation. They didn't offer any apology or accommodation such as sitting at the open outside seating. Instead the inexperienced manager tried to blame us without a shred of responsibility for her error. We left and found T. Macarones for awonderful experience and meal. We would not want anyone else to have the rude and insulting experience we had at Safron. There are much better choices in Walla Walla.

Pretty much perfection in every respect. Of course, after a long and fruitful day of wine tasting, the 4 of us dined at Saffron. What a treat! Excellent service, inviting and warm atmosphere and every dish was superb.

It's a small place, only seats about 45 people and was busy all evening although we never felt rushed. A warmly lit room and the smell of mesquite fire and candle light greeted us upon arrival.

Expensive but worth it! We will be back!

This was my sister-in-law's comment who we took here last night for the first time. She and my husband were born in Walla Walla as were most of their family over the last 160 years.
We ordered a series of appetizers to share and a bottle of Abeja Viognier. This food is remarkable, original and of very high quality. The huge grilled pita bread was thin and crisp and paired wonderfully with the baba ganoush mezza. We adored the pork belly with green beans and onions, tender, rich meat and unbelievable flavors! The razor clam flatbread is a must order as was the very refreshing melon fattoush. We shared a s'more's dessert, too. Like our visit last year, every plate we sent back to the kitchen was scraped clean. My sister-in-law loved it. This place is very small (you have to have a reservation or risk being turned away). It's very lively and was full the entire time we were there with the tables turning quite regularly.
