“Gorgeous view, incredible wines, great people!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2013

We stopped here as part of a 5 stop wine tour/birthday celebration and had the greatest time, not to mention the best wines! They were prepared for our sizable group (13) but not the racaus group, I'm sure...they sat us in a private room (maybe for a reason...) where the wine server joined right in the fun and the rest of the tasting room wish they could...the building is gorgeous and the view of the Bue Mountains is stunning! What a great time!

“Unexpected Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2013

We are real wine enthusiasts and traveled to the Walla Walla area from the midwest specifically to explore the wines. I had read some reviews that said that the views were great at Amavi Winery so we decide to stop there. The view from the tasting room is nice. It sets up high above the vineyards and you have a panoramic view across them to the mountains in the background.
The tasting room is modern, clean and spacious. Linda helped us with the wine tasting. She was knowledgable about the wine and fun to talk to. We enjoy big bold reds and Amavi has them. Their prices were also not as high as many of the other wineries- Amavi wines for the most part were in the $25 - 35 range. Their syrah and ceres were particularly nice. We liked the wines so much that we joined their wine club-- something we've never done before. You get a nice discount as a wine club member and there is no long term obligation.

“Beautifully crafted wines at a welcoming tasting-room”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2013

We headed to the Amavi tasting room this afternoon after enjoying a lovely bottle of their 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon at T. Maccarone's last night. The tasting room is just minutes from downtown Walla Walla, but feels a million miles away because it is surrounded by vineyards and looks into the Blue Mountains. The setting could not be any better, the staff in the tasting room could not be any more knowledgeable or personable and the wines are excellent. We had an extensive conversation with staff on wine, travel and everything and felt they were genuinely interested in us and wanted us to get the most out of the tasting. The notes they provided that accompanied the tasting were helpful and interesting. Unfortunately they and most other local winemakers are not able to ship wine outside of the US because of the prohibitive costs, so just be prepared for that, buy what you can consume and enjoy every last drop.

What a great place to sip elegant cabernet sauvignon and syrah! The staff was so pleasant and informative, and the location offered a lovely, peaceful view of the Blue Mountains.
