Great food, there is a huge selection of desserts and bread. This place is also owned by T Mac's in Walla Walla. The food is fresh and delicious, but a bit pricey for what you get. The lasagna, enchiladas and chicken salad sandwich is delicious! There is a market in the back where you can buy fresh local items.

I had been to this restaurant a few times when it called Merchants Cafe, and was owned by two brothers. I
thought at the time it was a good value. Unfortunately, that has changed.

My wife and I ate here on a recent mid-week trip to Walla Walla. You order at the counter, and they bring you the food. The counter service does not denote cheaper prices.

I ordered the mushroom pot pie. It was little more than canned mushroom soup with a few extra mushrooms and potatoes thrown in, very nondescript in flavor and presentation. When I asked for some bread to accompany it, we were charged $2 for it.

In fairness, my wife's selection was better tasting ( a quesadilla) but still overpriced.

The wine selections were good, but again pricey.

There were few restaurants open at the dinner hour on a Wednesday night in the heart of the downtown. Walla Walla is pumping itself up as a destination for oenophiles, but between the
lack of wineries and restaurants open on a beautiful midweek April afternoon, and the overpriced and mediocre selections that were available, I have to say we are not impressed.

This was a gem of a discovery. Great food, good service (but didn't smile much), nice casual atmosphere where you can even sit on a couch and sip good wine. Also would beca great hangout place if you don't like bar atmosphere. Definitely would recommend this place and will return again.

We had both lunch and dinner at the Olive Cafe. We sat outside for lunch, a quaint spot. The servers are very friendly and go out of their way to take care of your needs. Dinner was eaten inside. The atmosphere is fun and friendly. The food is delicious as well, some very unique dishes are offered. We would highly recommend the Olive for any meal.

First trip into Olive Market and did not know quite what to expect. Enjoyable evening with great food was the outcome! We tried 4 different pizzas, a great calzone, the hummus platter is exceptionally good.
Positives: Great local vintners for glasses of wine. Special sheet ranged from Shrimp Bisque to Seared Sea Scallop Salad to Chicken Curry to Smoked Salmon Pizza. Desserts are decadent and delicious. There are smaller tables on the main floor, larger ones upstairs. Comfy couches and chairs around a great table for sharing upstairs too. Sidewalk seating for wine stumbler viewing as well!
Negatives: Seat yourself, order at a central counter.
