When the sauce on your $$$$ entree is congealed you can pretty much call the dinner "hopeless". This restaurant was highly-recommended by a trusted fellow foodie, so all I can figure is there must have been some recent staff changes. Both entrees had sauce problems: one was congealed and the other looked curdled. The dessert, a vain attempt to redeem the meal, was a chaotic mishmash of textures and flavors. Here's a tip: you are in fruit, nut, and wine country, simple desserts featuring those can be amazing. Bottom line is that in this price range the food must be exceptional!

We had dinner for four here and started w a nice cheese plate (lots of olives). Service was a little slow but firendly. Good menu with a number of pasta options and entrees and sone very good homemade bread. Two had the bolognese pasta, I had the eggplant ravioli and one had the duck breast w pumpkin gnocchi. First, e portions are large. The cheese plate was easy to share w four w some left. Entrees also, we're really pretty large by restaurant standards. The best dish was the bolognese, very rich and excellent pasta. The ravioli was fine, but not spectacular. Duck breast- again, good but nothing special. The wine list is excellent with lot sof local options. We ended with some gelato -once again, good but nothing special.

We like the ovation just off Walla Walla's main street. Value would get a plus due to portion sizes, but I don't feel a need to return.

Menu had varied selections to appeal to different size appetites. Food was wonderfully prepared with different and unexpected flavorings. Good wine selection by the glass as well as bottles. Waiters were efficient but not as friendly as I prefer. They did not take time to make me feel welcomed and special. Restaurant is very popular and staff very bus.

We ate here for lunch today and thoroughly enjoyed the food. My husband's pasta Bolognese was delicious. We also tried the roasted beet salad and a salmon dish. We would definitely recommend this place.

Pretty average food, but noisy place. Service good. Nice menu. A little limted on wine selection.
Atmosphere okay for casual dining, but noisy. Not good for a romantic special night out.
