“Great for 2 Couples”

This B&B is the opposite of most--the owner has a studio and the guests have the run of the house. As the name suggests the views across the farmlands to the mountains are outstanding and set a very relaxing atmosphere. It is convenient to the restaurants downtown and is a short distance from many of the better known wineries. The owner, Eileen is very friendly and flexible but not intrusive at all. The breakfasts were excellent and suit most tastes. On our last day she made individual peach pies for "dessert" but we were so full of the wonderful roast potatoes we could not eat another bite. So she sent the pies with us, dishes and all, and would not let us pay anything extra. Walla Walla is quite a find as a nice place to spend a few days.

Room Tip: Both rooms are nice; the master bedroom downstairs is justifiably more expensive.

My husband and I met friends here picking Walla Walla as a place equidistant for each. I found A Room With a View on the internet and booked it after reading the reviews. The B&B lived up to its reputation and was a wonderful place for 4 nights. Eileen, our hostess, is lovely and did everything in her power to make us comfortable. The property itself is clean and the breakfasts superb-with the best coffee. Having the run of the house makes one feel so at home. Being out in the country 10 minutes from town was so peaceful and the views wonderful. And it is close to many of the vineyards on the south side, a definite plus. We will definitely be back.

I'd like to add our voices to the praise for "A Room with A View." My husband and I have stayed in at least 100 B&Bs, and this one is among the top few. The house is lovely. Beautiful, very comfortable, spotlessly kept. Eileen Greenwalt is a superb innkeeper, very quick to help guests in any way, even before you arrive. Very personable and conversational, quick to find common ground with guests. And she makes delicious breakfasts. We stayed two nights and would have loved to have stayed longer.

A room with a view was fantastic. Just outside town, but a short drive to downtown and wineries, in the country with views of farms. The food was great and Eileen is a fabulous hostess. We were there during the meteor shower in August and when we woke up in the middle of the night we discovered that Eileen had left us a blanket outside (evenings are chilly in Walla Walla, even in the summer). It was so thoughtful. We had a quiet, restorative, fun time, and Eileen both gave us our space and chatted with us when we felt chatty. We highly recommend staying there.

Elegant welcoming decor, an amazing hostess Eileen Greenwalt, and extremely delicious breakfast await you at this wonderful B&B. Our favorite room is downstairs as it has French doors that open onto it's own patio with all the WallaWalla views you could want! Of course there are so many other seating areas with equally picture perfect views. We love it here. Thank you Eileen, George and Carolyn

A room with a view was a very pleasant experience for us! We had booked a hotel that got horrible reviews and were literally on our drive over to Walla Walla when Eileen said she could help us! The decor is absolutely adorable, clean, and welcoming. Eileen is such a kind host, great breakfast, great service! The views were beautfiul and we saw a lightening storm right on the balcony of our suite. Would definitely stay here again, great trip!
