A wide range of rooms, this historic part or the newer addition. In the Heart of town, an excellent
restaurant and a great and friendly , and helpful staff. Lots of free parking. Our last stay is just one
of many.

A group of seven of us stayed at this hotel for four nights while experiencing the wonders of Walla Walla Valley wines. The rooms were elegant, clean and spacious. The bathrooms had walk in showers (no tubs) that we really liked, particularly with the control valve at the end where you walked in, not under the shower head. The complementary breakfast was robust every day with many choices. But the clincher for me was the staff. They were universally nice, smiling, engaging and always helpful. Also a winner was the fact that we could walk to every restaurant we ate at in town each night. The only negative I could come up with was the heating/cooling system, which showed its age. It was difficult to hold the temperature to what we wanted. It seemed like we had to run it too cold in order to avoid getting too warm later on. But we managed it just fine after some practice, and it did not in any way take away from a very enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: We had three standard rooms and one corner suite, which allowed us to congregate at day's end in one private place.

We stayed in the Eisenhower Suite (7th floor) in the old tower building - most rooms in that building are suites, while the wing on the back (which we've stayed in before) is much closer to a motel style room. For $400/night, this room has flaws the hotel needs to address. Some black mold in the shower around the wall mounted soap dispensers, TV monitors that are cheap and don't properly fit the image so its distorted, powdered coffee creamer, no mini-bar, pillow comfort iffy. On the plus side, great robes, large spacious room, good internet.

For breakfast, a buffet is included, but it never changes - so when staying here several nights it is very repetitive. Also, almost an hour before it ends they ran out of several items but wouldn't restock. Only one juice type. Fruit selection solely chopped salad. Definitely needs an overhaul, but my sense is the restaurant is trying to control costs while charging a high price for the rooms.

Room Tip: High up - road noise in the tower is a factor if windows are open.

The minute we walked in the door we were greeted by Jonathan. He went above and beyond for us. This is the second time we have stayed here, both times have been amazing. Jonathan actually introduced us to the executive chef of the restaurant.
Our room was spectacular.
The hotel is close to downtown.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

The room is clean, quaint and nice. Staff were professional and courteous, check in and out was easy. Included breakfast was very good and much better than average for motels such as Red Lion, Hampton, etc. Cons: on 5th floor even with windows closed, there was a lot of traffic noise. The hotel is nice, but not as nice as the Davenport in Spokane for example. I felt like room was overpriced, but we were there on a busy weekend so we had to pay more. Would consider going again on a non-peak day. At this point in time, if you want to stay somewhere nicer in Walla Walla, you need to go to a Bed and Breakfast.

Room Tip: I am thinking maybe the newer building might be quieter if they have better windows. But those rooms are not as quaint.
