We are "regulars", enjoying Sunday breakfast or brunch 3-4 times per month. We just encountered our first "disappointing" experience at this otherwise outstanding and reliable place! As Sundays are very busy, the wait staff are challenged to keep pace. We have always enjoyed OUTSTANDING service - until last week. The server assigned to our table took our order, delivered the food, but never checked back even for coffee re-fills. I had to ask the manager for our bill. As the server saw us getting ready to leave, she walked past the table and in passing said "everything OK here?" - and kept walking without being able to even HEAR my response. Upon hearing of our disappointment, the manager was very apologetic, and insisted we let him know in future if things are not up to usual standards. We will not let this one experience change our view this is an outstanding diner with great food and great staff. If you are unhappy, let the management know - they will fix it!

We go to Orem's for brunch after church. Despite a full house we never have to wait long for a table. The staff are all awesome. They attend to our every need. The silverware and place settings are always clean. There is an abundance of napkins available ON THE TABLE where they belong. The omelets are delicious. The waffles are never dry. The syrup is warm. The mozzarella sticks are superb. Orem's is a classy place...ten times better than Silver Star and Post Road Diner in Norwalk. Would recommend this place to my grandmother who was a picky person when it came to food. President Obama and Queen Elizabeth herself would be pleased, and I can bet Bruce (The Boss) Springsteen would go no place else(LOL). If you want the best Orem's is the place to go.

A landmark diner on steroids - nothing better than to be able to order a lamb chop dinner for one person along with a bagel and cream cheese for another and have both come out perfectly.
