“Clean and quiet but skip the breakfast”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2010

The Days Inn International Falls seems to be an older hotel that has been upgraded a bit - we thought the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was small but with a nice shower head. The hotel was very quiet even though we stayed a Friday and Saturday night. It is located just before the outskirts of town, so not that convenient to the downtown, but it is a small town, after all. It is located right next door to a very good restaurant, The Chocolate Moose, which is a plus.

The desk person was friendly enough, but the housekeeping staff were not friendly at all. We received only stares in the hallway rather than "hello" or "good morning".

Hotel coffee is not very good at the best of times, but the coffee available in the breakfast room was probably the worst coffee I have ever tasted. The breakfast was disappointing, too. There was make your own waffles, a couple of danish, toast and cereal, terrible coffee and watery juice. I would have preferred a continental style breakfast with just muffins and bagels and decent coffee. The coffee had run out on Sunday morning and no staff was around to make it, and on Saturday morning the food had run out even though the breakfast was supposed to be available for another hour. It was not replenished.

Despite all that, if you don't care about a free breakfast, the hotel is clean, comfortable and quiet and reasonably priced!

Almost had to pinch myself to see if this was really a Days Inn. I stayed 4 nights there with both my wife and daughter, and was blown away at their services. They made it to be a home away from home enviorment. The spa room was amazing and loved the the vaulted ceiling. But the real eye catcher that made it all worth every penny was the outside fire pit. It was cold there and havin a cup of coco while sitting by the fire pit was AMAZING. I can not wait to make another trip.. Someone contact my wife and sweet talk her into letting us come back sooner.. LOL Cant wait to return..

Just a one night stay. Hotel is older, but clean and well maintained. Had littel extras like popcorn in the lobby, outside sitting area and computer for guest use. Located in a commercial area, with restaraunt and gas station close by.

There didn't seem to be much accommodation on offer in International Falls and this was the best of what we saw. The hotel was just a poor average. it had no lift and no net curtains on the room window. The room was clean and comfortable. Like the other Days Inn hotel we stayed in, the breakfast was a very sparse affair and we only had plastic cups and cutlery. Having said that this hotel seemed to be the best available in International Falls.

  • Liked — Internet access
  • Disliked — poor breakfast

The room was clean with 2 queen beds and a TV with a free internet connection (wireless or standard ethernet). There was a dinner restaurant at a few steps. A few vending machines were on the first floor.

The city (and logically the hotel) is near the Canadian border (Port Frances).

  • Liked — Clean room, free internet.
  • Disliked — The town.
