This bar food establishment was recommended by a local. Review was based on other bar food type places.
Food: Our order – a walleye sandwich and Portobello mushroom sandwich. The sandwiches were hot. The fries were crispy. The tartar sauce had dill which was tasty and unique. The Portobello sandwich was served with honey mustard.
Atmosphere: The bar/casual restaurant was full of interesting tree carvings. There were high glossed wood grain tabletops. It was a fish lovers haven with mounted fish and bobber lights strung on the ceiling. There were glass pane windows in three directions with gorgeous views of Rainy Lake. The place has a lot of character. There were people eating and drinking around the bar. Lots of conversation. The US Open was playing on the TV above the bar. When the weather is nice there’s a large deck on one side of the lake making for a beautiful setting while dining. There was a pool table. Alcoholic drinks were served in canning jars. Why not drive your boat up from the lake and come in for a bite. There were flowers everywhere outside. We looked around the area. The resort is at the very end of the road and on a point surrounded by water on three sides. Pretty area.
