We had to make last minute reservations and couldn't find a room in International Falls or Fort Frances. (Due to lots of fishermen staying over) We were ready to give up when my daughter found the Voyageur Motel. It doesn't look like much, the rooms are older (1970's type) and small and the bathrooms are very small....But we were so happy to have found this place and not have to cancel our trip!! The Owners/Staff are very nice, friendly and helpful...and honest too. We were accidentally charged too much and he came and found us and gave us our money back. They have a small continental breakfast in the lobby, (pastries, bananas, jello with fruit, applesauce, coffee and juice). Its on the main drag, so there is a little noise from vehicles..but we slept soundly. We didn't hear any night time noise in the motel. It has outside doors plus an inner hallway with doors to your room. If you just need a decent place to sleep and are not looking for any luxury, then this place would prob be okay for you. I chose "Average" ratings...as it would be Average for an older hotel.
