We travelled to Vicksburg from Natchez where our hostess recommended this restaurant as her favourite. We loved it so much we came both nights of our stay eating crab cakes, fried green tomatoes, s. fried chicken, hamburger and catfish twice. All deliciously home made and an attentive chef who came and chatted after service. Good ambiance, friendly staff, easy parking. Memorable.

Southern cooking served family style in pleasant surroundings. It doesn't get any better than this if you like fried chicken, black-eyed peas, corn bread, etc served by accommodating staff.

Family style dining food very Southern style. If you liked you grandma's cooking you will love it. If you are a calorie counter you may want to look further. Lots of fried. No baked

This was always and will always be my favorite restaurant in my hometown. Everytime I am back home I must eat here. Try the tomato aspic (a Hertizine specialty) and the fried chicken. Also, the bread pudding is wonderful.

It is not difficult to imagine your Grandmother in her Sunday dress and white gloves having lunch here as a young girl. The menu offers old time fare like tomato aspic, fried green tomatoes, Mississippi catfish and fried chicken. A good selection of wines and the historic setting bring old Vicksburg back to life.
