Not bad for a motel. Was quiet, clean, and well located. free breakfast has tasty bacon and biscuit and the national battlefield, casinos, and downtown just minutes away. I wouldn't hesistate to recommend this one.

While traveling through Mississippi on business last week, two of my partners and I ended up staying at this location as it was the only hotel from South Mississippi to Vicksburg that had any vacancy.
We arrived at the hotel around 2 AM and check in was very friendly and smooth. As we began to carry our luggage up the stairs, we were greeted by a group of young men who were openly drinking alcohol on the premises. There was abandoned alcohol bottles on the stairway and empty cups and trash around the stairs that did not match the cleanliness of the rest of what we had seen so far.

Upon entering the first room my that my partner had rented, he found the door was unlocked and the room was untidy. Both of the beds were messed up as though they had been slept in or had not been made. There was pop-corn in the floor and empty trash cups laying around the room like the cups we had seen abandoned in the stairway.

He called the front desk and got imediate assistance and a new room within a matter of seconds. The lady at the front desk met us at the room and gave him keys to the new room. While attempting to get the luggage to the new room, we encountered a group of 5 young men with alcohol beverages, standing around the doorway of my rented room. Being female, this made me very uncomfortable since I had to stand in the middle of them while I gained access to my room.

Our third party attempted to enter his room and also found it unlocked but it was in good condition. As I was entering my room, I noticed two females that had been standing around in the lobby of the hotel when we checked in. They had a key and entered the room next to mine where the crowd of males were standing and drinking.

I entered my room which was nice and clean. It had fresh linens and towels. The bathroom were VERY clean and there was nothing out of order in my room. I was very pleased with the room and what it had to offer. However, I would have liked to have seen a little bit better locks on the doors, especially with the crowd that ws hanging around outside my door. After securing the door, the music began to clang and clatter from the adjoining room where now the 5 drinking males and the two females were inside. Then very loud sexual noises rang out followed by a running shower. Then VERY loud sexual nosies followed by running water again. This went on until around 4 AM. The noise rang out over my air conditioner which I turned up full blast and my tv. When I finally fell asleep around 4:40 AM, the party was still going on. I just hope that the two girls next door made enough money that night to cover the cost of their room!! Even though we got government rate on the rooms, I do not feel that I got a bargin.

I did not call and complain about the noise because it was obvious that the lady at the front desk was associated with the people in the room next to me and I did not want my vehicle damaged while it was unattended. There were several cars that circled through the parking lot just looking around as though they were casing the vehicles that were parked there. Remember this was after 2:00 AM on a weeknight.

While the hotel itself was nice and clean and well worth the value, it was the atmosphere that turned me off and I am a cop and have been a cop for 15 years.
I would not stay here again and I would not want any of my family to stay here. Not because of fear but because there are better places to stay. I would expect this type of atmosphere at a hotel that charged by the hour but this was a nice hotel to have this going on under their noses.
The free breakfast was nice but I was too tired to eat it!

My family of 4 was very impressed with this hotel. The service was excellent and the room was immaculate. I applaud the staff of the Comfort Inn Vicksburg! We had a room with king bed with sleeper sofa.
The room also had a good size refrigerator/freezer and microwave-very important with 2 kids! We will defnitely use this hotel again when we travel to Vicksburg.

Clean rooms, lots of grassy areas for walking a pet, in-room coffee, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, free local calls. Located close to I-20 and across the street from the Vicksburg Military Park, it is only five minutes away from the Outlet Mall and a short drive to all casinos. We have stayed here several times before and have been satisfied. The rates seem a little high for a place without a pool, lounge, or restaurant, but judging from the number of pet-owners we meet when staying there, they can get away with the rates because of the limited number of pet-accepting facilities in the area.
