Came here after reading other trip advisor reviews. Very accommodating helpful staff and good atmosphere. We both ordered the steak as so many other reviewers had enjoyed them. Have to say it was the best steak I have eaten, just melted in my mouth....perfect. Side dishes very good too and just the right amount.
Highly recommend this place!

We tried 2 of the highest rated restaurants in Vicksburg (which it seems is a food desert). One (Rusty's Riverfront Grill) was a nice casual restaurant. The 2nd, not so much.

The exterior presentation of Roca is half nice (the golf course) and half rather dingy & sterile. The interior continues this theme. It is dark and plain, in a 60s sort of way. There is no effort to decorate it, and the overall effect is depressing, like eating in a past due low budget cafeteria. Fortunately it was a nice spring day, and there were 2 tables outside on a rather spartan balcony. The chairs on this balcony were disintegrating, I rejected the 1st as ILDH (immediately dangerous to life and health). The 2nd swayed dangerously front to back. The 3rd (wife's) was missing (smashed) the bars that connect front legs to back. A comment to staff gathered the response ("Yeah, they're really old.).

The on-line photos suggest several pieces of (fried chili spiced) chicken, the true offering was a plain breast (the most often overcooked and chewy piece) for quite a high price. I finally abandoned that hope and opted for a Cobb Salad. It was unimpressive and under dressed, the addition of another dressing made it just acceptable. The wife had a spinach salad with tuna that was "OK," for a not very OK price. Service was friendly and did the best it could, but this is not a place to go to eat. It's just not.

Nice view of golf course. High point was the friendly and helpful service. The crawfish cakes were great. Many dishes have the same breaking, so beware when ordering. Good chance to try southern fare. Reasonable prices.

Ate lunch there today. Hands down, the absolute best cheese burger I have ever eaten in my 46 years.

We went to Roca because we were told that it was good. We had not heard of it on previous trips to Vicksburg. What a treat! Three members of our party had steak, which everybody agreed was the best they had ever had. All were cooked exactly as ordered and amazingly tender. I had the shrimp and grits, which was very different from the usual and was delicious! If we ever get back to Vicksburg we will definitely go back to Roca.
