Included as part of Vicksburg National Military Park admission, this was my favorite part of the park. The USS Cairo was pulled up from the Yangtze River and set in place. The museum tells the story of how it sank and was recovered. They also show you the artifacts from the gunboat. The best part is you get to see the USS Cairo, the real deal, and get to walk through (on a boardwalk over it) to see the different sections more up close and personal. Stop in the gift shop. It is small, but has many interesting books on the USS Cairo.
