THis is a beautiful museum and just to see the ship after being in the river for 102 years...awesome!

It's hard to believe this ever floated. It was fascinating to visit. If in the area, definitely worth visiting in combination with the battlefield.

Really interesting! Loved seeing the well-preserved contents of this iron-clad ship. Found out that "mustard" and "ketchup" as condiments date back to the Civil War. Who knew?

It was great and hard to beleive the wood and steel survived all the years at the bottom of the Mississippi River. Even boots, chaw of tobacca, pocket watch etc. Its a MUST SEE!!

Amazing preservation of an actual war ship from the Civil War. The story of the ship's preservation is almost as compelling as the war stories the boat endured. Fantastically preserved artifacts that look as if they're brand new.
