Seeing the Cairo as part of the Vicksburg Military Park was a real bonus - it made visiting the park well worthwhile. Very interesting how they had rescued the vessel from the river bottom 100 years after it being sunk. Artifacts rescued with it were interesting, and to be able to walk through the ship itself was fascinating. The small museum is quite good. The video on the rescue is okay, but pretty dated and screened on little TV screens. This could be done better. Entry is included with the $8 entry fee for the park.
