“Beautiful view of Mississippi”
Reviewed March 12, 2013

Part of the Vicksburg National Military Park attraction. Definitely drive through the cemetery. 17,000 soldiers buried there, only a few thousand are known. Very sobering to see literally thousands of 'unknown' markers.

“Appreciate what you have”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

Stop, look and listen to your heart. These young men gave their life so you can enjoy yours in this great country. Don't blow it. The rows and rows of stones leave out only the fear, noise and smell of battle.

Wonderful part of the park. So sad to see so many buried without identification. Very well taken care of.

“Hallowed ground”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

Here lies the graves of many of the civil war dead. Many headstones sadly say "UNKNOWN" It very well cared for and very pretty with magnolias and oaks shading the final resting places of these men. Please visit, but I think its disrespectful to allow your dog to pee on a grave site.

“Amazing”

We did the park tour of which the cemetary was part of.

The number of 'unknown' fallen soldiers identified by the shorter, smaller headstones was very sobering!
