We spent a night at Anchuca while making a short visit to Vicksburg. Overall, it was a nice experience. The grounds & the mansion itself are beautiful & charming. Everyone there was so friendly & helpful when it came to planning our day. And everything that they suggested was great. Also loved the 3 kitties that hung around outside in their fancy collars.
I really can't say enough about the food! The breakfast was delicious (we had quiche, cheese grits, bacon & fruit salad)! It kept us full through the afternoon & we went back for dinner (even tho we had already checked out). Dinner was amazing too. A bit of a splurge, but absolutely worth it. I definitely recommend eating at the Anchuca Cafe!
I wish I could be as enthusiastic about our room. We were in the coach house, which could be why. I think the rooms in the actual house would have been nicer. The shower curtain in our room needed to be replaced & I didn't particularly want to walk barefoot on the carpeting.
