We stayed at Anchuca March 5 and 6. What a wonderful place! The owners and staff went out of their way to make us feel conmfortable and welcome! This B&B is lovely and very well appointed. Our suite ( I believe it was the Davis suite) was beautiful and comfortable.

We were disappointed that we were there on nights that they don't serve dinner, but judging from the very good breakfast I would bet the dinners would be great!

I highly recommend this B&b if you are in the Vicksburg area.

Room Tip: The Davis suite had a front view and pool view. I loved the half canopy bed!

I'll keep it short.

Service: very very friendly. In addition to being service-minded, the inn-keepers were very welcoming and just went the extra mile to make us feel at home.

Room and building in general: spacious and very nicely decorated. Tastefully over-done with antiques, and very cosy.

Breakfast: perfectly fine. Ok, I wasn't blown away but it was perfectly fine nonetheless.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Vicksburg.

We went to Anchuca to eat dinner and lucked up and got a room because someone cancelled at the last minute. I have never really wanted to stay at a B&B because I was not sure how I would feel staying in a house...Anchuca was great. Our room was one of the smaller ones, #9, in the Carriage House. Certainly, you cannot expect the most modern decor so it was exactly what I hoped it would be. It was clean and all of the furniture was antique. There was a nice dressing area but the bathroom was very basic. The descriptions given on the website are completely accurate. The main house is gorgeous and I loved that you could just walk around on your own and explore...there are so many details. Our dinner was wonderful and the "Plantation Style" breakfast was delicious. The staff is very accommodating and I would definitely recommend this B&B to others. Tom, one of the owners, is very knowledgeable can suggest activities as well as give you plenty of history, even beyond the history of Anchuca.

Room Tip: Rooms in the main house are suites.

My wife and I stayed here two nights and thought it was fabulous. We stayed in the main house and we also ate dinner here one night. The inn is beautiful and the staff was great. Tom shared lots of good tips about things to see and do. Our dinner here was the best food we had in Vicksburg, or Mississippi for that matter. Probably the nicest inn we stayed in in the US or UK. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: We stayed in the main house in a huge, beautiful room. I can't comment on the rooms in the gues...
