The first place we discovered after moving into King of Prussia,PA. We were overjoyed to see such a magnificent landscape of mountains, valleys, creeks and trails, all within a few miles from home! The fresh air that brushes against your face, the rustling noise of the trees, the calmness and silence of the valleys, make you feel more connected to mother nature. From cycling, skating, walking, trekking to snow tubing in winter, flying kites, playing ball, there are endless reasons to visit this wonderful piece of earth. A great place to spend a weekend or any evening with the entire family.

Really love this place from the history to the trails to walk on it is a great trip for all ages. Valley Forge National Historical Park was created to preserve our nation's history and tell the story of the Continental Army during the winter of 1777-1778. There is over 30 miles of trails, picnic areas and tours.

I've been visiting Valley Forge Park for most of my life and so far that covers 6 decades. I've seen many changes over the years and still visit the park almost weekly. It's larger than most people realize and there's lots of great hiking places and places to exercise ones photographic skills and a great place to fly a kite, cop a tan, read a book or take a nap. You may even rent bicycles over by the visitors center.

Free with beautiful grounds. Nice statutes, plaques and buildings to reflect what it was like for Washington & his army. Especially enjoyed the soldiers barracks and Washington's HQ.

I really never understood the encampment at Valley Forge until I visited the park. The volunteers are so knowledgeable and all of the park highlights are well marked as you drive around the grounds.
You definitely need a car to see it all.
