Friendly, fun, always good food, informal, reasonable, small, bring-your-own bottle, street-side, plants plants cafe. get there up Kapahulu, go under the freeway and park where you can at the base of St. Louis Height Rd. Many visits.

This is the place to eat Greek food in Honolulu, just about a mile north of Waikiki. Our friends who used to live in Greece for several years took us there when we were on vacation, and you can't argue with the quality or quantity. You may bring your own bottle of wine if you choose, which both of us did. Its a little off the tourist path, but if you have a car it is very easy to find and ample parking across the street. Definitely worth a visit.

We had a coupon and decided to this place a try and were pleasantly surprised. We both had gyros with salad and it was both tasty and satisfying. It was exactly what we needed after a long day of seeing the sights.

While in Waikiki, I visited the Fat Greek three times. The variety and quality is excellent and I would recommend this eatery to anyone who likes Greek cuisine. Definitely try the Shrimp and the Gyros.

We dined here with our family - including a toddler. Overall the service was pretty average in all instances, they weren't very child friendly but once the food did arrive - all the meals were good. We were a bit skeptical after reading reviews on here but The Fat Greek was reasonably priced and the food was tasty and fresh. Would recommend if your after something low key.
