“Great sushi happy hour!”
Reviewed February 4, 2013

This is a great place to stop in if you're walking along Waikiki. The happy hour actually has some great deals, but you have to sit up toward the bar, so seating is limited. The prices are reasonable for sushi in Waikiki and you could even get a beer and a roll or two for under $20 at Happy Hour. A good stop.

“Wonderful...”
Reviewed February 4, 2013 via mobile

Really enjoy restaurant, it's my fourth visit over the past few years. The sushi was excellent and not over priced. I shared yellowfin sashimi that was amazing...and also a volcano roll that was delish. One in our party didn't like sushi, and ordered a small beef filet that he said was excellent. The location is upstairs in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, and perhaps gets a little smaller crowd...nice seating and great service.

“Our big dinner out”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

This restaurant is in a strip of restaurants and shops right across the street from where we stayed. The service was a little slow. They brought dishes out one at a time and we were a party of at least eight. That was a little strange. The food quality was very good and the price was right

“Skeptical of Big City Sushi, but This Place Rocked”
Reviewed January 17, 2013

Being a person that is heavy in the food and beverage world, I am always a little skeptical of restaurants that are smack in the middle of a tourist area. Especially when we are talking about Sushi. This place was excellent for what a downtown, tourist area.

We ended up sitting at the bar, near the community table (awesome idea, btw), since there weren't any seats available. Plus, we enjoy eating at the bar as we get to know our bartender/waiter better than sitting at a table. The decor and vibe was high energy, but not annoying. We received an fantastic recommendation on sake and ended up with a bottle of it before our food came out.

Had the Hamachi appetizer and it was spot on: delicious and fresh. We had two rolls, "God of Fire" & South Beach rolls, plus 4 different nigiri sushi that we split. The "God of Fire" is spicy, so if you are not into that type of thing, don't order it. The sushi was spot on and super fresh, which is what you want and came out fairly quickly. They send out the sushi like tapas, so don't expect everything exactly at once if you are ordering to share.

If you are looking for a sushi place while in Waikiki, this is the place to go.

“Great sushi, lively place”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

We didn´t reserve, so we had to wait half an hour for a table. It was worth it. The sushi was delicious - go for the big rolls which are great. Service was very good, friendly and lively and the place has a great atmosphere. And it is less expensive than some of the more posh places in the area.
