The Lotus was the perfect place for our vacation! We were steps away from the beach and our room was absolutely perfect. We had views of the ocean and Diamond Head. The service was excellent and everyone was extremely friendly and helpful with excursions. We made use of the bikes, yoga lessons and snorkeling gear free of charge. The valet parking was excellent and was included in their nominal Boutique fee...which was much less than many of the Resort fees which typically do not include parking. The employees would have cold water for our car trips and if we happened to make it back in time for the 4-6 Happy Hour...there was complimentary wine. It was a peaceful location...a few minutes walk from the heart of Waikiki. We were so happy we were not staying in the midst of the Waikiki madness...I am sure that would have meant not being well rested for all of our activities. With their expert planning we visited all we had hoped to and had literally the best vacation of our lives. Some nights we walked to the center of Waikiki to shop or have a drink but we were always SO thankful to return to our gem...the Lotus. If we are lucky enough to return, we will without a doubt stay at the Lotus. It is a 5 star hotel without the extreme pricetag! Other hotels should take a few pointers from them. Everyone of the staff members were people oriented. Everyone seemed to truly love their job!!!! THANK YOU LOTUS!!!

Room Tip: We had a room with only one balcony. According to a web site it meant you would only see the ocean...

I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks while working on the island. The staff at this hotel are really nice and try to accommodate you whenever possible. The hotel provides complimentary water daily which is extremely nice with the heat and price of water. The rooms are on the nicer side for the price of the hotel. The hotel shows on the web site continental breakfast. You get free coffee but have to pay for anything else and it’s not cheap. Almost $4 for a beagle with cream cheese. Currently the hotel restaurant is closed for renovations. I’m not sure what they are planning to do and it didn’t seem like they were renovating anything as no work was being done. However on Friday and Saturday nights they have closed special events going until 2am. Originally I was placed on the 3rd floor right above the restaurant and it was extremely loud, basically impossible to sleep. So I had them move me to a room on the 4th floor. It was still really loud but I could at least sleep. The special events were a major nuisance since I was there for work and it sounded like a dance club. This hotel is a little far from all of the restaurants in the area with a mile walk to the closest place to eat. So plan on taking a taxi everywhere in the area as parking is difficult in the Waikiki area. If you are only planning on staying for a couple days for vacation than this hotel is really nice, but if you are planning on staying for longer or for work I would look at somewhere else.

LH is a great Hotel away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, just minutes away. Its close to the park, beach, Aquarium and the Shell. The room was just great, we had a view of Diamond Head which was so beautiful in the morning as well as the evening. The staff was just amazing, from the time you drive up they greet you with a smile and ask if they are able to assist in any way. Checking in was just great as well, they had my room ready, it take but all of 5 minutes to check in. The lobby was very inviting! They had beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels, snorkeling gear and WATER available. Also in the afternoon 4-6 you were able to enjoy the lobby with a glass of white or red wine or just take it up to the room. My 9 year old son enjoyed the video games too. We will be going back to the LH just for a stay vacation!

Thank you to all the staff at the hotel, front desk, valet, house keeping. Everyone is so friendly, caring and helpful. When we first saw the location, we were a bit concerned that the beach wasn't directly accessible but honestly it was so close and convenient to get to it that we were so happy we didn't choose a hotel on Waikiki. We had a relaxing, quiet, peaceful stay and walked to and from the crowded parts. We stayed in 1025, excellent views of Diamond Head and some of the ocean. The room was very comfortable and clean.
We will definitely return!

LH is just outside of Waikiki. If you prefer a more peaceful accommodation this is a good pick. The beach, park, Aquarium, Waikiki Shell, the zoo, Waikiki hotels and local buses are all w/in a 2-15 min walk. The room was beautiful & balcony w/table and chairs had an awesome view of Diamond Head, the park, and parts of the ocean. The ENTIRE staff were all very nice and friendly. Definitely a repeat stay.

Room Tip: Higher floors better view.

I've stayed at the Lotus since it was a W years ago. The location is part of it, and now with a solid management and seemingly happy staff, the Lotus is the only place I will stay while in Honolulu. Yes, Waikiki is a 15 minute walk but (a) it's good for you, and (b) the area is quiet at night. Perfect place to stay if you run.

Sad to hear that the restaurant is no longer open. The only thing this place is missing is a decent bar.
