HVAC system was able to cool but not dehumidify. I realize it is a humid area but other newer hotels do not have this issue. In this hotel the HVAC units are unique to each room so perhaps it was just mine. Damp sheets, damp carpet, damp paperwork...not a comfortable experience.
Reported after first day....no change. Good luck.

One day room service is avaible and then the next day its not. Room was over priced! stayed here after having surgery and needed the amenitys you would think you would get with a suite & room service but unfortunately did not.

The staff here is exceptional. The rooms are nice but not very “user” friendly. I was is a King standard city view and there is no shelf to put toiletries out on except the back of the toilet. There is only one mirror in the bathroom to get ready at with no counter or anything so things lay in the sink - curling iron make up etc.

May I recommend you upgrading to one of our Alana Suites on your future visit as this would provide you additional bathroom and counter space for your toiletries. These rooms are extremely popular and would meet all of your personal needs.

The Bathrooms are too small, they clean my rooms after 2pm daily...It was very inconvenient for me. Overall, everything was ok, the location is great then I was charge a resort fee when clearly the hotel was not a resort.

I would agree with you that we have a great location that is convenient to many points of interests in Waikiki. We are making some additional changes to our resort charge which will include onsite cultural activities starting this Thursday.

I would hope you have a chance to return and stay with us again. You can also place a request to have your room cleaned at an early time of the day should that be a better fit for your schedule.

I want to file a complaint against check in lady at Doubletree By Hilton Alana - Waikiki Beach breakfast area this morning. I went to the breakfast at 6:30am this morning and she could not find my name on the roster instead of me repeating my name multiple times.

She also did not inform me that there is a $7.5 per person surcharge for *hot item* in the breakfast and was very very rude when we questioned about it.

I am a Hilton Gold member and have always stayed at Hilton properties and with work and personal travel spend more than 100 nights a year in Hilton hotels.

I am surprised to see this horrible customer service by Hilton. I was treated very badly and the worst part is she was not apologetic about it and showed me attitude.

I hope Hilton does something about this. I am extremely disappointed with this behavior.

I’m a returning guest to this property for the second time and must say the staff was quite knowledgeable for my request for an early checkin, so I patiently waited after 12noon, to avoid being charge $25. However, when I made my request to Ms. Jung at the front desk to have maintenance look into the light switch at the entrance to my room, the problem was never addressed within 4 hours and therefore couldn’t sleep at all. In addition to that, the toilet kept making noise throughout the night too! With these issues, I hope this Hilton Honors member can be compensated in some way, for I was not a happy camper the next morning attending an annual event.
