Our group of 12 stayed at this hotel on the 24th floor in Partial Ocean view rooms. The hotel staff were very helpful and all our rooms were on the same floor. Ours rooms had great views of Diamond Head and beach. They were very clean; the beds were very comfortable I even meant to ask what brand the mattress was as they were so comfortable. If you want to be picky the bathrooms could do with a makeover but they were always clean and as you are not in your room that much they are just fine and the lifts are slow at times, but chill out your on holidays. We choose this hotel as it was within our budget and offered a pool. The pool area needs an update but I believe that’s on the to do list. It wasn't as inviting as we hoped plenty of room to improve this though, but on arrival it wasn't such a big thing to have a pool as the beach is directly across the road. The location of the hotel is within walking distance to the Zoo as well as lots of shops on the main street as well as restaurants Lulus, Cheesecake Factory, Tikis, Jimmy’s Buffet are a few good ones. For a quick brekkie the cafe downstairs is great and the kids love the MacDonald’s was on the opposite corner. The pickup locations for the bus/trolley ride and tours are also a few steps from the hotel. Abbey from the tours desk is very helpful it’s worthwhile having a chat to her on your stay. We chose to do most of the suggestions she had to offer but as our group was large we wanted a private day tour around the island, we approached a local driver and booked him for the day, was a lot cheaper than the tour company. I have his details if anyone wants them. I would happily stay again and recommend this hotel.

My fiance and I stayed here March 13-17 we had a great experience with the hotel staff as well as the location in general. It was very central to the beach (right across the street) , shopping (Macy's, forever 21, Victoria Secrets and a few others) are in walking distance. There is also a McDonald's right across the street as well as a deli in the hotel. Overall we enjoyed the experience. I will stay here again during my next trip this summer.

The Pacific Beach Hotel was a fabulous choice for our group during our stay on the island! The accommodations were great, the buffet was awesome, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely enjoyed the "Aloha" spirit! We also went to the Polynesian show and had a great time. The location is perfect! We totally recommend the Pacific Beach Hotel!!

Room Tip: Get a room with an ocean view. Well worth it!

Aloha Lori J,

What a great 5-Star review! Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us on TripAdvisor. I already shared your comments with our team and they couldn’t be any happier to hear that you had an awesome visit. Our staff truly show ‘’Aloha spirit’’ and treat all guests professionally. I am happy that your group went to Te Moana Nui Polynesian show and had a great time. We are fortunate to have our very own Polynesian show so guests can enjoy Hawaiian foods and activities to experience Hawaiian culture while staying here. Thank you very much for the recommendation to other travelers and we cannot wait to welcome you and your group back soon!

The hotel was very clean, the beds were very comfortable and the service was excellent! We had a partial ocean view with two double beds in them but I think they were queen beds. I have no complaints at all. Anyone that puts anything negative on here must not have stayed at the same hotel as me. Would definitely stay again

Room Tip: We were on the 34th floor with a partial ocean view. Excellent

Beautiful view. FABULOUS beach across the street. Worst pool I've ever seen. It's about 10 x 12 feet, literally for a hotel with a few towers, 17 floors falls with a few hundred rooms. Was FORCED to pay the amenity fee for $15/day. This gets you wifi, discounts at the restaurant for kids and discounts at 24 hour fitness, even though they have a gym on site?! Ridiculous waste of money. I can feel the springs in the bed mattress, but saw them bringing in new mattresses today so maybe the next group will get lucky. No vent in the bathroom and mirrors stay fogged for about an hour. Needs a major make-over. Being across the street from the beach nearly makes up for everything else. Smells kind of like my grandma's house. I am used to Gold crown, 5-star resorts and I would not pay more that $110-$120/night for this room. Anything more is a waste of money. The only thing you are paying for is proximity to the beach. Nice staff though.

Room Tip: Front tower only with ocean view. Otherwise, you might as well pay much less and get a room a block...

Aloha Alimyersrn,

Thank you for your feedback and 5-stars for the location and service! I apologize that we could not meet your expectations. We just finished installing all new mattresses and we do have an exciting make-over plan to renovate the entire hotel including the pool. Even though you gave some feedback for improvement, we are pleased to hear that our staff was nice and you enjoyed the beautiful view from your room. Thank you for staying with us and we would like to welcome you back again soon.
