The location of the Sheraton was great. Its close to everything downtown (shopping, restaurants) and right on the beach. View from the ocean front room was amazing. The only bad thing I would say is that it is very loud at night, you can hear the bar and people at the pool which might be an inconvenience for families with small children. The spa was great, I definitely recommend visiting while there!

Room Tip: The ocean view is beautiful! You will overlook the infinity pool and be able to see surfers all day.

When we visited HI in 2010, we stayed at the Marriott and ended up sneaking into the Sheraton because the pool was so much better. This time, we booked our stay at the Sheraton and we loved every minute of our visit. The Edge pool is really all everyone says it is. You may have to be patient for loungers, but we always got two together within 5 minutes of arrival. The Edge bar is also great. The room was spacious and we had control of the AC. The room decor was a bit lacking, but it was still modern and fairly attractive. The location is great - right in the middle of everything fun. Rum Fire, the bar / nightclub, was a really good time.

Oh my GOD !
Get me away from the hordes of tacky people going through the meat grinder / funnel / tunnel of shops from the lobby to the most screwed up elevator system I have ever seen. The mattress was shot, the pillows were lumpy. The hordes are NOISY at all hours. I was here for work..not to be a noisy stupid tourist. I would never ever ever stay there again.

The staff was professional and polite. But I cant imagine this being anyone's ideal Hawaiian experience.

Sheraton Waikiki was our first stop on our honeymoon early 2012. We loved our 5 days here in an ocean front room on the 23rd floor. Staff were friendly and helpful and we received a bottle of champagne because we were honeymooners as well as a room upgrade we were told. We had actually booked the ocean front room just in case we didn't get the free honeymoon upgrade offered by our travel agent. Loved the pool and lounge area although the sun lounges were usually full. the hotel is in a great location. Everything we needed was close by. The restaurants at the front of the hotel near the pool were amazing at night with beautiful views by candle light and excellent food. you need to get there early though as it seems to be very popular, with people waiting. Our room was clean, beds very comfortable and i would definitely go back... for longer this time. 5 days is not nearly enough! Perfect for a wedding or honeymoon destination.

Room Tip: Ocean front rooms are a must for the view

We stayed here for two nights in January 2013. Had initally booked to stay at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani but they moved us to the Sheraton Waikiki as they had overbooked. The rooms were ok, not as big as the Hilton but fairly nicely fitted out. We had a terrible view down over some rubbish dumpsters but the pool area (which we couldn't see from our room) had recently been redone & was very nice.
It's in a great central location, next to the 'pink'hotel & has good shops in the foyer etc and check in/out staff were friendly.
