“Love this hotel!”

Outrigger Reef on the Beach is a fantastic place to stay in Waikiki. The location is great, its on the beach and close to many restaurants and shops. Yes, the beach directly infront of the hotel is a bit rocky but you only need to walk a couple of minutes in either direction to find soft sand. We had an awesome room on the 16th floor which had two balconies, one small lanai facing the city and mountains and the other was large with ocean views. Check in was quick and easy and we were lucky that our room was ready for us. The housekeeper, Shun Rye, was just lovely and very helpful. She would greet us every morning with a lovely smile and a little chat. The timeshare staff didn't really bother us, we were aware of them so we made sure we didn't get too close to them. The spa (jacuzzi) next to the pool was a great way to relax at the end of the day. We ate at only one of the onsite restaurants, at the Kane Ka Pila Grill, which was fantastic and we enjoyed listening to the entertainment they provided every night. During our stay the only small problem we had, and this was no big deal, was that when checking out we were charged for 3 nights valet parking instead of just 1 night, but this was adjusted immediately. This was our second stay at Outrigger Reef in the last two years and both stays have been wonderful. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit! Can't wait!

My husband and I just checked out of ocean view room 705. It was clean, average sized, and had standard amenities. Overall I rate this as a 4 star stay. Candidly, while it is located in the heart of all the action of Waikiki Beach, we actually prefer the Outrigger (main) across from the Int'l. Marketplace. That property has a larger beach that is nicer for swimming. The beach at the Out. Reef is small and very rocky, and we didn't enjoy trying to wade in amongst very rocky footing.

We stayed at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach from Sept. 22 through Sept. 25th. Everyone was so helpful and kind the entire duration of our stay. We were celebrating our 40th anniversary, and we got upgraded to a higher floor. The room and view were absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed every moment of our stay at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach!!
We will definitely stay there again if we get the opportunity!!!

...of Waikiki is where you find the Outrigger Reef on the Beach. Location wise, I think you cannot go wrong with this hotel: it's on the beach, a stone's throw from much of the nightlife and entertainment that Waikiki has to offer, and with great views of the Diamond Head.

It was our first trip to America after becoming a family; and as Europeans currently residing in Japan we definitely had a few eye-opening experiences. Leaving that aside, we enjoyed a week in Oahu with the Outrigger Reef on the Beach as our home away from home.

Discreet as you want any hotel to be, I honestly don't feel I have much to tell you about the resort, but here's what we talked about while there:
- A gym on the premises however very small and hidden in the basement and certainly not a selling point.
- Pool and jacuzzi is not very kid-friendly for little children: water is rather cold and it gets deep immediately.
- Food is typical American fare (which can be good AND bad)
- GREAT housekeeping services!
- Great location for exploring restaurants and shopping and the rest of Waikiki

Would we stay there again? Maybe -- it was a difficult choice finding a resort in Waikiki and I think they all probably has positives and negatives which in the end makes them come out pretty equal. Service is important and it was felt.

In all, we enjoyed our stay on the Outrigger Reef on the Beach.

Found this hotel to be ok. The rooms were big and although the bed was itchy on the first night, it got better after that. It was super convenient and right on the imfamous waikiki beach. Buffet breakfast was basic, again prob expected too much since I've had much larger ones in similar hotels and with less annoying pigeons pestering you whilst you ate. For one of the restaurants at dinner, we waited for 45mins, although told by staff it was a 15min wait. After being buzzed that our seats were ready, were told to wait and take a seat on the bench and we watched in horror as another group who appeared a few minutes later were led in before us, we immediately left and found a much better restaurant outside the hotel. Overall it was average, you can prob find something nearby with alot lower cost and get the same average level of service.

Just got back from 8 nights at the Outrigger. Overall it was a great stay! Only one hiccup with the trip which was not having the room we booked when we arrived after 13 hours of traveling. Thankfully after the first night one of the managers did the right thing and got us into the room choice we had booked and paid for. Rest of the stay was great!

Hotel is very nice, clean. Great location! After staying at the Trump last year, we knew there was only one location in Waikiki to stay...and that is on the west end of the strip. Right next to the Ft DeRussy park, great beach that isnt too crowded, nice path to do your daily walk and away from the maddening crowds on the main drag.

Room was great, we had an Oceanfront, right on the beach! Housekeeping is great, Lily was very nice and a great person!

Ordered the breakfast with the room. You have the choice of a menu breakfast at 2 of their restaurants, or the buffet. Both were good. Buffet selection could be a bit better in the quality department, but at least you can get a variety of meats, fruits, etc.

I would definately stay here again! Outrigger Reef is great!

Room Tip: Do the Ocean Tower...and get close to the Beach!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 night stay at the Outrigger. We stayed in a partial ocean view room and had very good views. We stayed as three adults and the room was adequate in size.
The staff were excellent and we really felt right st home. A very comfortable stay. The pool area was relaxing, quiet and well served. We ate in the hotel restuarents and emjoyed each meal.

Room Tip: The partial ocean view rooms might provide ocean views at a reasonable price.
