We booked an ocean front room, and ocean front it was,we could here the lapping of the waves if we ad our sliding door opened, the veiw was spectacular ,all the restarurants in the hotel had delish food but book early, our most popular was the one at the main enterance as they had an hawaii band playing and the food was served fast. The breakfast buffet had a big selection of hot and cold food and at only $15 that was cheap and if you returned the following day it was buy 1 2 nd one half price who could beat that. The only negative thing I did have was that there was no proper coffee cups they were paper,or tea spoons, but on our last day theta I mentioned it and when we got back that afternoon we had cups, plates, and spoons there.they had huge bath accessories, and included free wi fi.fast check in,and close to shops and biggest abc 1 min away.

Room Tip: Ask for room away from ice machine, they are very noisy. The higher the better,we were on level 8.Ask fir ocean tower lifts and a renovated room,we had a perfect room we felt, very roomy would fit more than the two of us.

After very diligent hotel research we chose Outrigger Reef because of customer satisfaction ratings. We were not disappointed. I highly recommend this resort for its' location, service, cleanliness, beauty, friendliness, beach access, food, pool, and all amenities! Our trip was incredible. We took advantage of the Outrigger vow renewal. It was beautiful and inspirational. My only gripe was a skincare shop (independently owned) in the hotel that would coax you into the store every time you walked by to sell you way overpriced products. We finally just went around the pool area to avoid their harassment. I highly recommend Outrigger Reef on Beach. You will not regret it!

Room Tip: Beachfront room was unbelievable! We were on the penthouse floor.

Recommended by our Travel Agent & we weren't disappointed . We were surprised by how close all of the hotels are at that end of the beach. Room very clean, staff friendly, breakfast good (not included) , free Wi Fi, pool & spa service with food and drink good, right on the beach, would stay there again. (p.s use the timeshare presentation with Wyndhams to get free buffet breakfast and a $100 credit card voucher ) .

We relied heavily on these reviews when booking our holiday. Outrigger Reef on the Beach had excellent reviews & after our trip in Sept2012 I am pleased to say that they were right.

Ideally located, excellent amenities, helpful & knowledgable staff - A great place to stay.

We stayed for only 2 nights before going to the Big Island (Hawaii) for a week and it was nice knowing that we were to return to the Outrigger reef on the beach for several more nights at the end of our holiday.

Both visits were in an Ocean-view room and our second room was closer to the beach & gave a magnificent view of Diamond Head as you walked through the door. We enjoyed looking from the balcony every morning for 2 large Sea Turtles that swim near the shore.

The 'Beach Walk' shopping strip is just around the corner as well as a wide range of dining options. Also an easy walk up to the main streets. The beach is literally as you step outside but as others have mentioned it looks amazing but the crushed coral is pretty rough on your feet. I will admit to being spoilt by Sydney beaches, and these were even outdone by the piece of paradise we found on the Big Island.

Would definitely stay here again.

We were very pleased with this hotel. Well situated on Waikiki; clean; and updated. We stayed here for 2 days before doing the 7-day Norwegian Cruise Line cruise to Maui, Kauai, and Kona and Hilo on the Big Island. Originally we had made reservations at the Hilton Hawaiian Village where we'd stayed before and liked. However, my travel agent for the cruise said she'd heard the Hilton was undergoing some construction (something the Hilton reservation desk never mentioned) and suggested the Outrigger. I'm so glad she did; I walked down the beach from the Outrigger to the Hilton and the construction at the Hilton was extensive around the Tapa Tower and the Tapa pool was closed. One of the employees said the construction wasn't scheduled to end until sometime in early 2013. I am a Hilton Honors member and am disappointed they did not mention the construction until asked. I guess whenever I make a reservation at a Hilton I'll have to ask specifically about ongoing construction.
