Our 40th Honeymoon started June 5, 2012 at the Reef. Very pleasant location and staff. Had a room on the 17th floor in the Pacific tower. Just 3 unit from the City view rooms. Very large rooms, clean and a good size patio. Was a part-ocean view. Not able to see Diamond Head still enjoy view. For the ones that had complaints about street noise. I did not have problem but remember you are in a city and some noise comes with that. If you want very quiet leave Waikiki and go to the north shore country. Night noise found none. The Pool bar stopped the band 9pm. You can listen to the music from your patio. The View from the Song Bird is priceless. Always check if there is a drink special. You can not go wrong with the Happy hour cocktails. The beach is just out the back door. Beach was clean and well attended. The free wedding vow service was nice. The cost of the photos were very high ( $75/photo or $ 240 for the package). The internet needs help, but they are working on it. Either had a very hard time getting on line or just could not get on even very late or very early each day. Would I stay again bet your life. We were there with 3 couples and we all loved the place. The Reef is a beautiful place giving you the feel of Hawaii. As for the timeshare people they did not bother any of us. Don't complaint about parking fees, they are every where, it's a part of the cost of renting/parking the car. If you have choice get a room towards the beach on both towers. If you want a nice and quiet hotel the Reef is for you. If you are younger and want more action, music and bar life the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach is the choice you have to pick.Which also had the better breakfast buffet. We had family stay there and we would use either hotel. Aloha

Room Tip: Happy hour is every where great vule for food and drinks. The Reef is just a short walk to everythin...

Highly recommended. Our family stayed at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach for 7 nights and we were extremely satisfied with the service and the facilities. Rooms are really clean (this is important: no dust bunnies on the shelves or behind the TV. This means that they do take the time to do a thorough job). Our room with partial view of the sea was modern, a little exotic and everything inside was working perfectly well. The free WiFi's signal is strong enough to ensure a good connection. Lobby staff is very friendly: we had to check out by 11 AM but our flight home was at 8 PM. They offered to keep our luggage in a safe place while we go to the beach and even offered a complimentary room to freshen up after the beach, just before leaving. A little expensive (but then again, this is Waikiki and everything there is expensive). We would go back there anytime!

Room Tip: For the differrence in price and the time that you really enjoy the room, picking a partial view of...

Superb location. Reasonable sized rooms, staff very attentive. Not much going on at night though.

We spent 12 nights at this lovely hotel in May 2012. We were delighted to see that our room was a corner room on the 5th floor with 2 lanai's - one facing Diamond Head and the other the beach and water. Would never get tired of these views. The room itself was lovely and housekeeping at the hotel kept things beautifully. We appreciated the in room bar fridge for water, alcohol etc. The only complaint that I have is that on several occasions I was awakened by partiers on the beach (sound really travels!). Wifi excellent in lobby area - intermittent availability in room. We would definitely come again! Thank you to all the staff at the Outrigger Reef for a very enjoyable stay!

this hotel was just great, location, staff experience the beach, the bar and restaurant live music every night, the rooms are spacious and not to grand but, the sea view's and balcony's are just excellent, the breakfast in the a'lacarte was the best, the buffet was just not my cup of tea but plenty of people enjoyed the experience there

Love this hotel. They have wonderful service and beautiful oceanfront view rooms. Their "shorebirds" restaurant is the best, they have a wonderful breakfast buffet. Kind of pricey but do offer a military discount AND SOOOO ABSOLUTELY worth it.

Arrived after a long flight from new york. We had hired a car and were met by the valets (only valet parking at the hotel which is $30 a night plus tip). We were shown shown to reception where we were quickly checked in, given our vouchers for breakfast and told where our room was. Our luggage then arrived at the room shortly after we got there. The room was lovely, had 2 double beds, a separate sink area, bathroom with bath and shower and a nice balcony with view over the beach (ocean view room). The room was kept clean throughout our stay. Breakfasts were in two of the restaurants (3rd was closed following a fire) but there was a good selection of food and drink. The pools were lovely and the beach great. Located quite central on waikiki beach with lots of nice restaurants around. Overall a great stay and a great way to enjoy our honeymoon!
