The only thing this place has going for it is its location. I had to request my room be moved due to some god awful smell. The next room wasn't that much better. This place badly needs a renovation. The carpets stink, the curtains are frayed. The bedding is old and tired. Hard as a rock too. If I hadn't used Priceline and been assigned this hotel .... I'd leave. We are here now and I want out of here but everything else tonight is too expensive and I won't get my money back if i do leave. There is construction noise outside as well. I don't even want to sleep in this bed. Run. Don't ever book this place and compromise.... Spend more. Stay somewhere else.
Firstly, we would like to extend our sincerest apologies to you in regards to your experience.
We strive to make sure each and every guest has a clean, comfortable, and enjoyable experience. Because of this, Ramada went through extensive renovations in 2009 and Ramada put in all new carpeting and paint in guestrooms and hallways, along with new furniture and lighting in all guestrooms.
On the matter of construction; we feel your pain. We know the loud noises can be very frustrating at times, and we too cannot wait for our neighboring buildings to be finally up and running.
Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and we are looking into ways to preserve the renovations we have done in order to keep our rooms in fresh and pristine condition.

For the $ this room was a great value. It was remarkably clean and very quiet - even though on a very busy road. The location to beach, Marina, Ala Moana Center and ABC Store made it super convenient for us. The $20 parking fee was a bit steep per day - but parking in general in the area is a problem. In the end, we probably did not need the car as most everything was within walking distance and the traffic is no fun in this area. The pool was very small but adequate we only used it end-day for a quick cool off. The laundry room was terrific as we brought our own beach towels and they were pretty sandy and nasty at the end of each beach day.
The front desk was adequate we really did not need too much interaction with them. I did want to upgrade to a balcony but decided the price was not worth it as the baloncy room available looked out over a construction site and parking lot. We were not really in the room much - only to crash at the end of very busy active days. We don't normally stay at Ramadas but got this one via PriceLine and in the end, it worked out perfectly. Plenty of places nearby to walk to for dinner but most nights were were so wiped from being in the sea all day that we got take-away from some awesome ethnic restaurants or salads from ABC store.
Our only complaint was the safe in room #901 did not work very well - it took a million tries each day to get it locked. But - we were too busy to bother to move rooms so just dealt with it and allowed extra time before we left the room for the day.
I'd definitely stay here again in Waikiki and next time, forget the rental car. The bus service and trolleys come by every 2 minutes so that would have been the better choice than the car.
Thank you so much for your review. We truly appreciate you taking the time to write us one. It is wonderful to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and we do apologies that the safe in your room wasn't functioning properly. We have since had it looked at. On another note, unfortunately due to our lack of availability we have to mark our parking rate a certain fee and we do apologies that it's a tad bit high.
Once again thank you for the review and we look forward to your return during your next visit!
Stayed here as I was attending a conference. For me it was a little far to walk to the Hawaiian Village and other places. You have to walk to the corner and then cross over. At the age of 60+ I really didn't like doing that. I recall the hotel as being certainly adequate and clean and the bed comfortable. I did have some trouble with the WiFi as it kept going in and out. Anyway, it was a place to stay and by the time I booked, was the last place available. It doesn't have all the amenities that other places on Waikiki have and is not on the beach side which was annoying. I don't recall how much I paid but I have to say it was a disappointment when I saw the hotels where other members of my association were staying for a little more money. Sigh. It did have a little frig and service was prompt and friendly.
Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We value our guests opinions and are very sorry to hear that we did not fully meet your expectations. We will be sure to check our WiFi routers to make sure that they are all working properly and will ensure that there is an accessible description of our hotel.
This hotel is within walking distance to everything you need in Waikiki, including the beach. You don't need to rent a car if you stay at this hotel and plan on spending your time in downtown Waikiki, but if you do rent a car you will have to pay a $25/night parking fee. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. The beds were comfortable, air conditioning worked perfectly and the whole room was clean. It is an older hotel but still in good shape overall. I will stay here again, primarily for the close proximity to the beach and shopping.
We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. We appreciate the review and are glad that our hotels' location to the beaches and shopping areas was able to meet your traveling needs. We look forward to your next stay with us!
Thank you once again,
