“Oahu Vacation”
Reviewed July 10, 2014

This is a huge complex and being the 4th of july week, a lot of people. The complex it self was clean, service good, did not have to wait in long lines for food. Only issues is that they nickle and dime you for every thing. Even an umbrella was $30.00 for the day.

Room Tip: Try and get a room above the 15th floor for a quite nights sleep.

This hotel is massive and a true resort. Something like 6 towers and six pools, and a lagoon. Shops, restaurants, and rentals for all water sports on site. It is right on Waikiki beach- northern end. The grounds are kept up well.
The older towers' rooms are fine in size, but not fantastic in appointments. We stayed in the Diamond head tower with a "resort view"- the service entrance and back side of the Hale Koa. Friends who have stayed in the higher-end towers have said that they are very nice. The staff is very attentive. We asked for an early check in and was accommodated at 1pm.
Shuttles stop right by to take you to anywhere you might want to go.
All said and done, I would stay here again, by the way, the wife loved it.

Room Tip: Newer, more expensive, towers have better views.

We were there for five nights in late May, early June. Great service and accommodations. Friday night fireworks great. Food is pricey though. Many restaurants close by though. $30 to rent umbrella for the day.

The hotel was very nice. From check in to check out the staff was helpful and ready to serve. We stayed in the Lagoon Tower and the room was very nice and as expected. One of the great features of the property is that there are several types of restaurants on the property and all were friendly and had a great variety of food. Other reviewers said the hotel was crowded and while there were a lot of people at the hotel i never felt that it was over crowded. I would happily stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: Only a couple of elevators so a lower level room might give you the option to walk but the views are...

This hotel is in the heart of the Waikiki tourist district. It is convenient walking distance to everything while on vacation, including the cruise ship terminal if that is your eventual destination. Not much more to say, other than Aloha!

We have not stayed at the Hilton, but every Friday night the hotel puts on the greatest fireworks display I have ever seen. It is truly a magical display for both young and old. You need to get there early people come from all around the area to view this spectacular show. There is restaurants, music and everyone is very friendly. We usually watch the sunset, enjoy a drink then watch the fireworks. It's a nice evening to spend with friends, meet new friends and it's free.

We really enjoyed our stay, excellent staff and amenities it truly was beautiful, the food and the cocktails were wonderful too, the only problem was we were charged twice at the end of our stay - not sure why though?
