“The best of Waikiki hotels”

This was our third stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village but our first staying with our children. We arrived early and our room was not ready but we were able to store our luggage for the day. Upon check in we were offered an upgrade for $40 per night to the Rainbow tower full ocean view which we decided to take as the Tower is the closest to the beach and super pool. My parents were travelling with us so they automatically were upgraded at no cost to the same tower which they were very happy about. Our view was amazing looking down towards Diamond Head from our balcony and was well worth the extra money. The room itself was clean, neat and the room service was excellent. It had a fridge and a coffee maker. We loved sitting on our balcony listening to the music from the Tropics bar in the late afternoon. We enjoyed all the facilities and our kids loved the lagoon pool and the fireworks on the Friday night. The only negative thing I would have to say was the lady who giving us free hula lessons was not very friendly at all.

This is our 4th visit to HHV staying in Rainbow Tower on each occasion. This time we stayed for 14 nights and our room was on the 29th floor - corner ocean view. Our stay was, as usual, excellent. We had two balconies with good ocean and harbour views to the front and side of the hotel. We had buffet breakfast each day which was excellent value. We also ate at Bali's (see separate review) and again it was excellent. The hotel grounds are kept immaculate. All the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly, from Rita (front desk) to Letina (housekeeping) who kept our room immaculate. We cannot find anything negative to say about our stay at HHV - we love the hotel and Hawaii. Whilst we were there the new Rainbow mosiac was unveiled (see photo) which is now lit up at night. Hope it wont be too long before our next visit.

Room Tip: Rainbow Tower is worth the extra money

It was my fiance's 30th birthday festivus weekend and we had a great time spending it at The Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort! We definitely recommend seeing Ramfis Benigno at The Tropics bar and restaurant. Ramis provides first class service always with a smile! We look forward to staying here again!

We booked this hotel for 3 days and wanted somewhere beautiful to stay for our hawaiian wedding. We paid over $1200 AUD.

We arrived at reception to check in, the line was long but moving reasonably fast.
Got to our room on the 23rd floor in the rainbow tower and had an amazing ocean view. The room itself was basic and dated, with brown carpet and curtains. Very 70's. I expected more from the Hilton.

The grounds are beautiful and had penguins and turtles in the waterfall areas by reception.

My wedding day, we needed 2x flutes for champagne, my hubby called the room service and another phone number but was told that they don't have any. So he went to reception to ask in person and was told they don't have any... The Hilton do weddings on their grounds. Quite surprised by this. And disappointed.

I probably wouldn't stay there again as its very expensive and old fashioned.

Room Tip: Too expensive for what you get. Book a cheaper hotel elsewhere or wait for this to go on sale

Aloha CJ27xx,

Thank you for choosing the Hilton Hawaiian Village for your special celebration. We are very sorry to learn of your disappointment in the décor of our recently renovated Rainbow Tower. Our designers have carefully selected the furnishings to accent the beachfront tower’s features without taking away from the beautiful ocean views it offers. We would like to congratulate you on your marriage and apologize for the troubles your husband has encountered with getting champagne flutes. For the safety of all resort guests, glass flutes are not available for take away. However, guests can visit any food and beverage outlet for plastic champagne flutes at no charge. We appreciate your understanding and for taking time to share your feedback from your recent visit. It is very important we communicate our offerings with each team member to ensure they in turn are able to enhance each guest’s experience. We hope to welcome you back on future travel.

Mahalo,
Hilton Hawaiian Village Guest Services Team

We stayed at this resort a while ago but the memories and experiences have stayed with us! The HHV is clean, spacious, friendly and a fantastic base for small kids. Our daughter was nearly 2 when we stayed, and the great range of restaurants, pools and activities offered great entertainment for us without having to head up to Waikiki's main strip. Close to Ala Moana - bonus! Our room was a fantastic size, and ultra quiet with a lovely view of the ocean. We loved it there so much we eloped during our stay and got married on the lagoon! We can't wait to come back. Mahalo Hilton Hawaiian Village!

Room Tip: we stayed in the tapa tower in a partial ocean view suite which was more than adequate for a family...

My fiancé and I stayed here for the first 5 nights of our Hawaiian holiday. It was the best place to stay in and we compared every other place to it. It was absolutely perfect!
The room and view were amazing and the staff so friendly. Considering it was school holidays it didn't seem crowded and we could relax inside the complex or a few steps away on the beach. I want to come back!!
