Right on the beach with side lagoon. Strip malls on the property for anything you need (flip flops, souvenirs, beer, wine). Full breakfast not included (even for Hilton Diamond members) but a cold breakfast is offered at a cheaper rate. Within walking distance to the International Market Place and restaurants. Tip: get your beer/wine at the ABC store in the strip mall within the "village". Hotel cocktails will be pricey.

Great stay at the HHV for 7 nights. Nice staff. Good rooms with good beds. We stayed at the Kalia tower with its own pool, Starbucks down in the lobby, quiet room with sea view. Some people may say that this hotel is too touristy/busy, but we find it just okay. Close to the Ala Moana shopping center and Diamond Head.

We stayed at the Hilton for our honeymoon last year. Very family friendly resort close to all the action in Honolulu

Elevators were incredibly slow because of renos and no option to take the stairs. Sometimes the wait to get into an elevator was 5 to 10 min

Aside from that we had a really great trip

Room Tip: Ensure you are in a tower close to the ocean. Partial ocean view was perfect for us

Aloha jenvivian,

Mahalo for choosing the Hilton Hawaiian Village and congratulations on your marriage! Thank you for your patience and understanding during the Rainbow Tower renovation that occurred during your visit with us. We are happy to announce the tower now houses an optimized elevator system that expedites elevator cars to a set of floors to shorten service time. Thank you for your review and we look forward to welcoming you back to HHV.

We didnt overnight at this place but we had a Very pleasant evening at the Hilton Hawaiin Village restaurant on the lagoon - the warm weather, the music, the food and the cocktails.....what more do you want. And when you stroll back through the village after your meal, all the village shops are open until 11pm.

Called to add on a room at the last moment for daughter and grand children and the Hotel was super nice. Found room nearby and gave me a better rate than I had booked to begin with on both rooms. This happened because I was lucky enough to talk to Kevin when I called the hotel. When he found out we are Hawaii residents he gave us the "Kama'aina" rate without us even asking! Rooms were very well appointed, beds super comfortable and the valet parking was great too. During our stay a tsunami warning was issued and Waikiki was evacuated as were the lower floors of the Hilton. The hotel kept us well informed during the entire ordeal and our room was spacious enough for us to accomodate others who were stranded with us. The only thing that could of been better was that we were stranded in the Hotel with no food for the evening although I am not sure they could have done anything about that. Great for family, I will stay there again and recommend it highly.

Room Tip: If you want a bigger room without paying for a suite try a "Family" room.

We came to Hawaii on our honeymoon and spent 5 days in Waikiki and 5 days in Maui. I wish I spent the whole time in Maui. Waikiki is very over developed, inauthentic. If you are coming to Hawaii with expectations of a lush tropical paradise - Waikiki is not the experience you are looking for. It was like Disney world only in Hawaii. That being said if you do decide to come here- the rainbow tower at the village was great. We got a corner room w views of the ocean and the lagoon and we loved our view. We checked out all of the other hotels in the area and I'm glad we chose the village. Big things to do here are diamond head and Pearl Harbor(which was awesome) maybe a day to walk in the city too. But don't plan on being here more than three days. I'd def recommend this hotel. It is big and there are lots of Asian tourists but we still enjoyed our time here

Had a blast in Hawaii...stayed here for 2 nights of a 7 night stay...very comfortable and tourist friendly!!!
Only downfall was that this place charges for Internet access...not just per room, but per computer in each room!!!
Rooms are average...excellent views.
FIREWORKS on Friday night was the icing on the cake for this trip!!!!!

Room Tip: ..try to stay in The Rainbow Tower!!!!
