I stayed here recently and really enjoyed it. I had an ocean view in Rainbow tower. The room was big and clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. The grounds are well maintained and the pools were great.

The room had a fridge which was great for water, beer, etc.

Minor cons: water pressure in the shower was weak and they need more hooks in the room to hang clothes up.

I have been staying from sunday. So many towers and restaurants in here. But one of the pool is under construction and one of the tower is under remodeling. The noise of the other roons is problem, too.

Aloha SeoulReinhardt,

Mahalo for choosing the Hilton Hawaiian Village! Thank you for your understanding and patience of our current rejuvenation project. At this time all of our pools are open to registered HHV guests with the exception of the Tapa Pool that is currently under renovation. Please contact the Front Desk to see if we can offer you a more comfortable room for the duration of your visit. Thank you for your feedback and we hope you enjoy your visit.

Yes this hotel has a great view, but that is where the complement ends. This "resort" has become what I call a revenue gauntlet for the hotel, stores, restaurants, and now cart vendors. It is a guantlet because they force you to walk past a ton of commercialism to get to parking and back to your room. There use to be a nice bar and lounge with music in the evenings. Now it is filled with street cart vendors jamming their wares at you as you walk past them to your room. Parking is a joke here as you have to drive high into a structure to park- at....$25 a day! Lower levels are reserved for valet only. Breakfast is $30 per person if you can stand the wait. Last but not least, this "resort" wakes you up in the morning to rake the beach with their "riding raker"(think of a massive snow groomer but for sand). Every morning, you will awaken to hear their machine rake their massive end of Waikiki without fail- the Swiss could set their watches on this!

Aloha 365travelNYC,

Mahalo for returning to the Hilton Hawaiian Village! For the convenience of our guests we offer a variety of dining, shopping, and entertainment outlets throughout the village. Guests with vehicles may either valet or self park in our centralized garage with available stalls beginning on the first floor toward the Mauka (mountain) side of the structure. Our Rainbow Lanai serves a breakfast buffet daily as our other food and beverage outlets offer an ala carte menu. We apologize for the noise disturbance you have experienced with our beach cleaner. HHV rakes the sand daily for the enjoyment of our guests with the least possible inconvenience. Thank you for your feedback and we look forward to having you again.

The front desk staff were outstanding. They upgraded our room to the Ali'i Tower since we were on our honeymoon. The ocean view from our room was very nice. A bottle of champagne was also sent to our room. We had a wonderful time. The pool in the Ali'i Tower overlooks the beach and ocean. We tried the main pool area which is quite crowded until we tried the pool at our tower (and didn't go back to the main pool). The grounds are nice but crowded. I would agree with other reveiwers that the resort is too big and crowded especially for us. We had a great time though.

Room Tip: The pool and deck at the Ali'i Tower are beautiful. The staff at the pool deck were wonderful too!

We stayed in the Rainbow Tower for eight nights in interconnecting Diamond Head ocean front rooms (family of four with two older teenagers). One room was a junior suite with an interconnecting regular ocean front room. The view was simply amazing by both day and night. The rooms have been recently renovated and are appropriately appointed and furnished. The bathroom in the suite was large with seperate toilet area. The house keeping staff were friendly and very efficient and polite and nothing seemed to be a problem, our maid always left extra towels and toiletries for us.

The complex has many pools, restaurants, bars and shops. Being such a large complex there are lots of people. This is mainly way i didn't give it five stars in this review. With all the people the service whilst atentative is generally just getting the job done. This is not a bad thing but it is not what you expect from a five star hotel. At times you really were just another person not a guest as such. I was annoyed at times that staff were always trying to sell vacation units and sell hotel events. We got a grumpy check in attendant who obviously was not well suited to front office duties but that did not deter my stay in any way. That all said the choice was great and everything basically at your door step. We ate at CJ's several times and at tropics twice, great for quick full meals. The highlight was Bali steak and seafood, expensive but great food, excellent service and a beautiful ambience.

Having a proper beach adjacent to the pool area was a bonus as was the lagoon and lagoon pool with the water slides. Most evenings were spent on the beach watching the sun set followed by pool side cocktails. This was a great way to finish the day.

The hotel was about a fifteen minute walk to Waikiki shops, which was a pleasant walk.
direction There is a Doctors practice in the village, this came in handy for a quick visit. The doctor was extremely professional and you felt like you were seeing your own GP as the practice had that pleasant andreassuring feel.

Room Tip: Ocean front is Diamond head view
