“Perfect Honeymoon”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2011

Prince hotel was beautiful hotel, not at the hustle and bustle of Waikiki but sure had a shuttle to take us to waikiki and shop. The room was huge and was oceanfront, simply beautiful, I think it was on the 21st floor I cant remember, nice size pool and jacuzzi eventhough we only used the pool and jacuzzi for 2 days, the remaining days we were either on a tour or at the beach. Food is expensive like anywhere in waikiki which is expected. But overall I recommend it to honeymooners, nice, serene, and value priced!

Stayed here for a conference in December 2010.The room was good value compared to other nearby hotels. Only 5-10 mins walk to Waikiki Beach and Ala Moana Shopping Centre. Room was a little small, but fine.

we stayed at this hotel and the location is great not too far from the action but far enough to be quiet. my main complaint is the smell of the rooms-you can smell cigarette smoke through the a/c vents because the top floors are for smoking -(japanese tourist stay here and they all smoke) the furniture is very old and ancient I hear that they are going to remodel in august . the pool area was ok but the snack bar doesn't open till 12:30. the sony tv has terrible recetion and really old probally was good when it was new 25 years ago. staff was just ok .self parking was cheap $15.00 a day with in and out if you have to drive.overall will not stay until they remodel and stop smoking inthis hotel . it's very old and outdated . no free wi-fi let's get with the times and offer free wi-fi for your guest.

I have to admit the hotel view was great. It is clean and modern looking hotel except for the TV. The self parking is a very reasonable at $15 per night. The expedia says that the kids eat free, but they actually have charged that. It is a far end of Waikiki. It is very close to the mall. But when I went to next neighbor Hilton Hawaiian village, my kids say they want to move to next one. The hotel offers a free shuttle to Waikiki strip area for free. The shuttle is not that cheap. The swimming pool is not so exciting. The hotel restaurant offers a good breakfast but it is more expensive than some other hotels in Waikiki strip. It is also limited.

We chose the Prince because we were quite satisfied with the same property on the Big Island and were expecting a similar experience. Sadly this was not the case. On arrival we were told that although we had reserved an oceon front non-smoking room only smoking rooms were available. I voiced by dismay and was upgraded to a suite which was rteally not a big favor. The walls were filthy and stained, the living area had old decrepit sofas, the tv was a relic from the 1970's and the room smelled musty. The only impressive spot was the enormous lobby...big deal. Do some shopping around and ask yourself why you need to be here.

Stayed 3 nights with a Priceline bid of $115 ($400 total for 3 nights). Website rate was $189.
Good sized rooms with decent decor. Not dirty or scratched from what I saw. I did see new mattresses being installed while I was there.
Pool is nice, but pretty windy. Hot tub is nice for warming up.
Fitness rooms are a joke (2 tiny single attached hotel rooms), but there is enough equipment as long as only 2-3 people are using them. They have a good $100 golfing deal that includes $40 of credit.
It is not a beachside place, but you save $50 a night because of that.
Shuttles come by all the time, and Prince has their own too. 5 min walk to Convention Center, Ala Moana mall with its massive food court.
Hilton Village and lagoon just 8 min walk.
