“More Than Expected”

We booked the Aston Circle for a one nights stay in Waikiki before we headed back stateside after a Maui/Kauai holiday and did so primarily because it was the lowest price with decent ratings. To say the location is perfect would be an understatement, which is the second reason we chest this hotel. The rooms are very small, but nicely appointed for the size. We selected 2 beds instead of a double and are glad we did. The wife tosses and turns, so having our own beds was nice for the night. Nice desk area with coffee maker along with TV and PS3 which we did not use. The bathroom is very small and the shower is the size of a phone booth, so if you're on the large size, find another hotel. We upgraded to a full ocean view (it is a circle, so some have full, partial, glimpse, no ocean views). We sat on the balcony watching people surf and walk on the main road below and you could tell people were jealous of our awesome perch. If you need the Ritz or Four Seasons, pass. If you need a great location, small room, great service you will not be disappointed. Aloha and Mahalo.

Room Tip: Pay for the ocean view because you also get a balcony with two chairs and a table to sit and watch t...

This hotel is in the lower price range for right on Waikiki beach. That doesn't mean it is cheap. We had a ocean front ocean view room on 10th floor. The view from the balcony was wonderful and the breeze delightful. Yes the room is on the small side, but we fond it okay for 2 adults. I don't think I'd want do share with 3 or 4 adults or children. Everything was clean and desk clerks helpful. There is a breakfast restaurant attached to hotel and Mc Donalds next door. There were a couple of places to pick up take out. We brought back to our balcony because we enjoyed it so much. It saved us quite a bit of money bringng to room but that wasn't why we did it. There is not a traditional lobby for this hotel. There is outdoor space and desk clerk is behind what looks like the drive thru window at the bank. That is also where you get ice. Just ask for ice. We will go back if in Waikiki again. In fact I think we are booking again in Sept. Seems like we always have someone who's never been there.

Room Tip: if you really want the great view, book beachfront not just beach view

The room was tiny and the internet cut in and out. There was only a shower and it was a very small bathroom. Housekeeping did an awesome job. The balcony was nice and we could see part of the beach even though we had a city view room. Amenities charges was $15 a night but that included wi-fi and unlimited dvd and game rentals. Parking was $18 a night and was limited since there are only a dozen or so parking spots. Location was bar none. Can't beat directly across the street from Waikiki and the middle of shopping and restaurants.

we would not stay here next time. Room is very very small and all rooms are same size. The are the shape of an pie. No Microwave. Dirty carpet. And old smoking smell in hallways. Elevator is small. Front desk is by the elevators and watch you coming in/out. No parkings.

This was my 1st visit to Oahu and I couldn't be happier with my hotel choice. We paid a little extra and got an ocean view. It was well worth the money as we had an unobstructed beautiful view. Tons of restaurants and shops are only a 5-10 minute walk. The beach is even closer just being across the street. The rooms are a bit small but are nice are clean and modern. This place is probably one if the best values in Waikiki. I will definitely be back.

We have stayed here every trip to Waikiki in an ocean front room. The room is quaint, clean and has all the amenities you need and the balcony provides unobstructed views of the gorgeous beach just across the road. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and can help to provide directions or transport. If you're looking for affordable, clean and a relaxing atmosphere, then this is the hotel for you. Close to shops, restaurants, bus stops and beachfronts, the hotel offers the best value for money.

Room Tip: 'Ocean Front' rooms offer the best unobstructed views of the beach.
