This hotel is about 2 blocks from beach in the heart of Waikiki. Close to all the shops, restaurants with food mart around the corner. We had a corner suite with full kitchen. Very spacious even with six of us. It only had views of city. No swimming pool but we new that.
I particularly want to thank Nicole and Robbie for being so helpful, courteous and greeted everyone with a smile. Thank you guys.

Room Tip: Corner suites end in 02 e.g. 902, 1302 etc. The higher the room a better view.

Stayed for 5 nights back in May 2012, Room was decent nothing fancy for the price but the customer service was top notch, the staff is happy to have you at their hotel and is really welcoming.

Down said to the hotel was the parking, only 10-12 spots and if u were out at night you would have to park 2 blocks away at their overflow allotted lot and the parking at the hotel would fill up early in the evening, so be prepared for that.

The good thing about this hotel location was the few minutes’ walk to the beach, stores, markets and restaurants. So u don’t need a car if you are going to be staying closes to the hotel proximity, but if you want to explore the island a car is a must have.

We drove all over the island in the time we were there and some of the location we checked out were: North shore, Hanauma bay, Turtle Bay Resort, Dole planation, and may more. It’s worth exploring the island a lot of neat places to see and explore.

Overall, we were satisfied with the experience we had and would stay at this hotel again because of the reasonable cost of the hotel compared to the other hotels in the area as well as the location which is pretty central to everything around us.

Room Tip: Request a room on the higher floor so u don't hear a lot of street noises...

Stayed here for the location and price. Not fancy, but not a dump either. Room had a microwave and small fridge. No pool. Front desk was real friendly each time I passed through. The wifi worked good. Was able to get free use of beach towels each day which was nice. Did not have any issues with noise on the 8th floor but I also wear earplugs every night while sleeping. The only issue I had was with the room key which apparently gets demagnetized easily. Had a real hard time getting into the room on my initial trip into the room but as the week went along, I figured out the way to open the door on the 2nd or 3rd try. Other than the door, all was good for me.

We had a 3 bedroom suite, which was more than adequate for the needs of two couples for the week we were there. It was very spacious, a huge living room, good sized bedrooms, huge master bathroom, flat screen TV's in living room and 2 of the bedrooms, and had a kitchen with basic dishes included. The location was ideal too, being a short walk to the beach. The only negatives were in the living room, the only furniture to sit on was one small couch. It could have used another couch or a couple more chairs. Also the water pressure in the showers were barely more than a trickle. When housekeeping came they didn't do the dishes or clean up the kitchenette at all (not sure if that's even part of what housekeeping is supposed to do) It was definitely nothing real fancy but clean, comfortable and had very friendly staff. Oh and they also gave us coupons for free mai tai's at the bar next door! I would recommend it!

I was in Honolulu on my own for six days to attend an education conference in early January and enjoyed my stay at Aqua Waikiki Pearl.

I found the customer service and friendliness of personnel in this hotel refreshing especially coming from New Zealand. The location was ideal as it was only a 10 minute walk to the conference venue and close to most other facilities.

My room was spotless and clean throughout my stay and I valued safety and security provided.

This hotel has a boutique feel about it which is an advantage in making conversation and/or friends for a lone traveler.

Finally, a saving was made staying here and I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to friends.

We stayed at the Aqua Pearl for a week and found it very clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful with our requests for additional items (such as extra dishes and silverware). We thought we were getting a 3 bedroom condo, and there were definitely 3 beds, but the 3rd bed was part of the living room and only had a curtain for privacy, but it worked fine for our family. Beds were a little hard for my taste. It was about a 10 minute walk to the beach and we loved the International Market Place nearby - so sad to find out it is being torn down. The connection to our TV was broken and when we mentioned it at the desk they replaced the TV the same day - downside was that it was half the size!

Parking is very limited (maybe 10 spaces available) and once it fills up you need to park a few blocks down at a parking garage.

Room Tip: Would definitely request a room on the top floors - the street noise at night is not very bad on the...

This was a very bad choice we made in Hawaii: the only good point about the structure was the location, very central. The rest was not nice at all: the room was very small and stinking, like there were moulds (there was a air conditioner looking old and filthy, maybe it was coming from there. Room was vey dark too, with a small window, and in general, it gave us a very bad impression. My advice is, choose something else, even if you've to maybe pay something more (this hotel is pretty cheap), you'll bless that money!! The second star I gave is only because of the staff of the hotel, which was very friendly in a difficult situation we had - but I think it's not enough to recommend this structure.

Thank you for your review, our location is definitely a key for travelers not wanting to spend money on a rental car, central to shopping and beaches. We hope that we were at least given an opportunity to assist you with your room during your stay. Our hotel staff does go the extra mile to showing the Aloha Spirit to all hotel guests. We Hope to have the honor of servicing you again.
