This condo is within walking distance of many restaurants and shops in Honolulu. It is on the 16th floor of a gated building, and includes use of laundry, rooftop bbq, outdoor pool with 12 loungers (no one else used the pool during our week that we saw), and exercise room (requires getting a key from front desk). The lanai was spacious and had enough chairs and tables for all 4 of us to be out there at once. There are sliding glass doors to the lanai from the living room and the master bedroom. Be aware the lock on the slider to the master bedroom did not lock-- we had to make rules about expected privacy. The condo is light and airy and was impeccably clean when we arrived. I only wished there was a swiffer for us to use at the end of the day. We returned late several nights and using a vacuum is noisy for neighbors. There are beach chairs and towels we made good use of. A parking spot for our rental was a real plus, and our guests could park short term in the bottom of the parking garage. The only quirks we had to get used to were the odd locations of the light switches in the bath and the unusual lock on the front door. In the master bath the switch is hidden under the towels on the rod. The lights over the sink/mirror are BEHIND the sliding door of the bathroom, near the door to the bedroom, and HIDDEN by the door if one comes out of the bath to look for a switch. The bath includes a reproduction hip bath with silver claw feet which has a curtain tub surround (it is not enameled cast iron, as you can feel the bottom flex as you move in the shower). The shower curtains don't quite meet at the fixtures, so it's hard not to get the wall wet. To enter the tub, one must lift your legs about 23 inches off the ground, with no grab bar. This was easy for tall folks in our family, harder for the one with the boot cast on their leg.The towel rod had evidently been replaced, probably because someone used it to steady themselves getting in the bath. We received two fobs and keys for entry after hours and calling the elevator, which was handy when we split up. The front door uses a key or a 4 digit code. We received the wrong email info before our arrival, so we did not have the right code, so when the key did not seem to work one night, we called the emergency number and got help right away. The wifi worked fine, even with 4 devices using it. We never used the tv or the telephone, but it was nice to know we could have if we had needed to. We would definitely stay here again.
