“Great for lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2014

We walked from the UH campus to grab lunch. I was overwhelmed by the amazing selection of sandwiches they offer. I ended up getting what is called Papa Tostada, which is basically a salad, with sour cream, sauces, some vegetarian protein filling and cheese. You get chips with it, too.
It was great, the only thing I would change for next time is ask for chips separately. They put them at the bottom of the plate, so they got soaked with sauce and ended up a bit soggy.
I think that with chips at the side it would have been amazing.
I also got Pitaya and Papaya smoothie which was nice. I love dragon fruit.

“Great sandwiches, good service!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2013

We found this on a list of Obama's favorite restaurants in Oahu. I see why he likes it. Great sandwiches with lots of stuff piled high on fresh bread at a great price (at least for Hawaii). Tucked away in a strip practically in the middle of the university campus, if you can find it you'll enjoy it!

Will always visit Andy's when we're in Oahu

“Great Sandwiches!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2013

Andy's doesn't disappoint with their sarnies. Crammed full of smoked mahi, salad and tasty bread. It's everything you want from a sandwich. I just wish the queue wasn't so long, otherwise I would keep going back. One is never enough.

“Great little sandwich shop”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2012

We were driving around Honolulu and just happened to find this place near the university. We had the best smoothy here during our entire 10 day trip to Hawaii: Papaya -banana with coconut milk. The turkey sandwich was made with real roasted turkey - dark meat, not the processed deli roll. The sandwich was loaded with sprouts, tomatoes, carrots and avocado and fresh homemade bread.
We live in PA but sure wish we could call in for delivery!

“local warmth, good food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2012

Andy and all his kitchen staff are warm and friendly. He bakes the bread, roasts the turkey, makes the pancakes, etc. His wife (and another aunty-type) makes the smoothies, sandwiches, and salads. With an eye to health and quality, it's a great combination. Caution: they are closed on Saturdays. Open all other days.
