“Cool Place Great Food”
Reviewed July 28, 2014

Very cool space in the Parc hotel, only issue we had was our waiter who seemed to be very distracted. Three times during our ordering he excused himself to go to a different table. We were very close to walking out as it was very rude and unprofessional. Nobu is very expensive and the waiter should have been more attentive, when we said something he gave an insincere apology. Despite all that we had a fabulous meal and really enjoyed everything we tried. I must say though we ate at Doraku the night before and thought the food was just as good for half the price.

“Nobu does it again”
Reviewed July 27, 2014

Again had great food at Nobu. Standout for this visit was the trouble they went to to put a menu together for our non fish eating daughter who thought it was one of the best meals she had had.

“Bit pricey, great service”
Reviewed July 23, 2014 via mobile

Had a special birthday dinner here on holidays, opted for the exclusive dega as it seemed fitting for a special occasion. But at $180pp plus drinks it wasn't great value. Don't get me wrong, I like most of the dishes and it had some pricey ingredients - lobster, fois gras, tuna belly, waygu beef, and of the 8 courses I only failed to be interested in 3 of them, but it just seemed a bit expensive.

The waygu beef and fois gras dish was my favourite, so rich, really beautiful flavour and sublime texture. Maybe the price wasn't that bad?? I don't know, bit torn.....

The service was great, very Hawaiian, warm and friendly and the atmosphere was nice except for the techno-esque music, but I think that's a nobu thing :) as it's the same at nobu Melbourne

“Delicious, Trendy Japanese Food”
Reviewed July 22, 2014 via mobile

We went to Nobu Waikiki to celebrate my wife's birthday and we had a nice time. The restaurant has a trendy feel with the fit out (although it's position seemed strange, close to the Sheraton loading docks on a side street), the bench seats were comfortable and Jeff, our waiter was fantastic. We went for the Omakase chef's choice menu, consisting of 4 cold, 2 hot, 1 cold, and 1 dessert course to finish. The sushi was excellent (never had bluefin belly "toro" before) and the hot generous (half a lobster, wagyu with foie gras) which we washed down with Champagne. Except for the first dish which was out of balance with too much wasabi and salt, and the last dessert piece(a chewy green tea ice cream), the food was great. Just not sure we got value when we got the bill.

“over rated and over priced”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

Food good but we have had better. Tables quite close together and restaurant very noisy. Service adequate - 18% minimum suggested tip but not worth more than 15%. Trading on its name rather than actual quality. Will not return.
