“japanese food for folk who do not really like japanese food”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

was invited here for a work dinner and dinner started off well with a local beer in the bar waiting area - the actual dining area was too noisy and the food overwhelmed by all the sauces and garnishing - am sure that the fish was of great quality and did not need all the extra stuff

“Awesome sushi in a party atmosphere”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

Love the sushi. Love the sake. Not the biggest fan of the party scene. Everyone had a great time. Get the sake in the bamboo.

“Exceeded High Expectations”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

Probably the best effort of the Nobu restaurants. This one combines the great food with a much more laid back atmosphere. Service was top-notch, and food was delicious. A few highlights: Nobu "Fish & Chips", Lobster/Shrimp in a Spicy Lemon Sauce and of course, the rolls.

“Good Enough for Obama”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

The name speaks for itself! Worth every cent and bite! The food and cocktails leave you wanting more! Only downfall is the location, a place like this deserves views which is what it lacks. Will be back in Feb 2013!

“Bluefin Tuna!”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

It's rare to go to a place and try something that's so rare. I knew Toro was hard to find but this restaurant carried one of the Pacific's rarest - Bluefin Tuna. At $12/piece, it's not the cheapest food on the menu but so worth it for a once in a lifetime experience. But enough about the tuna! Great restaurant, elusive location (it's in the middle of what seems to be an alley way) but very central to the Waikiki shopping area and fantastic service! When you first enter the restaurant, it seems a little pretentious but once you sit down, there's so much to choose from that it's hard to order. The Bigeye & Bluefin Toro tartar with (small amount) caviar is delicious...and the tempura was perfectly deep fried. Since it's part of a bigger chain, I think I might have to try it next time I'm in NY and LA!
