“A must dine at restaurant in Waikiki”
Reviewed January 27, 2014

I am a big fan of Roy's Restaurant and have also dined at Roy's Restaurant in La Jolla, San Diego which we thoroughly enjoyed. So it was with great expectations that we made a reservation to dine here and we were not disappointed. We had a wonderful meal here.

Bookings are becoming essential. Our first attempt we walked up to see if there was a table available that evening and we were told they were fully booked that night. We booked about 3 days ahead and there was no problem.

The meals were delicious, their house special cocktail - the pineapple martini was amazing and highly recommended; the ambiance was convivial and the service attentive.

Our party had a variety of dishes including the macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi and it was delicious. My husband had the Tasting Menu with the matching wines, which is the perfect choice to taste a variety of Roy's starters. On the Tasting menu you then had a choice of one of three main courses rather than a sample of the three.

It was a memorable evening and one I would be happy to replicate at any time.

“Awesome again”
Reviewed January 25, 2014

We have been here before and had a great meal, we had yet another one this time. In the party of four, we had various appetizers all very tasty, mains were Roy's Original Blackened Island Ahi, Hawaiian Style Misoyaki Butterfish, Slow Braised Honey Mustard Grilled Beef Short Ribs and finaly the Roy's Beach Walk Trio (3 smaller portions of fish mains). All the mains were delicious and all four enjoyed them thoroughly. Dessert highlight was the Roy's Melting Hot Chocolate Soufflé which was just as amazing as the first time.

Service was prompt and efficient.

“Worth the splurge!”
Reviewed January 25, 2014

Did the tasting menu with wine, and worth every penny. Macademia crusted fish was best I have ever had- and I've had a lot! Moist, flavorful, perfectly prepared. Everything we tried was first rate. Service attentive, but a bit rushed...not even a breath between courses. That would be my one and only criticism.

“Fantastic !!”
Reviewed January 24, 2014 via mobile

We highly recommend Roy's Restaurant. We had dinner at Roy's last night. George our waiter was extremely attentive and at the same time not overbearing. The food was fantastic we had the pork belly buns , lobster ravioli and the 3 types of fish dish. We shared the upside down pineapple cake for desert. Overall very impressive worth every penny. Loved it and when next in Hawaii we'll be back.

Four of us had a delicious meal. The tomatoes and goat cheese salad was wonderful.
Service was exceptional, would definitely eat at any Roy's Restaurant again.
