We stayed for a week in November. while there are no facilities at the apartments ,it was quick to go to the outrigger along the road for pool, bar and tour service.
it was in a small street with restaurants and the hard rock cafe close by and the abc store below. We were on the first floor which was a little noisy with the morning trucks. Staff were very helpful
The apartment was large , free wifi was excellent. A perfect place to base ourselves for the week. We walked almost everywhere or took the bus to the shop as the stop was only minutes away.
Recommend for couples, family or small groups.
We had a two bedroom apartment for 4 adults and found the sliding window odd in the bedroom but as there was no one sleeping in the lounge it was not a problem. We also had a laugh about the bathroom basin and also cleaned our teeth in kitchen .
The laundry facility was also good in the complex. We used this two or three times.

Stayed here for 6 nights with two friends in a two bedroom apartment.

Location
Pros : easy access to beach, shops, dining options, trolleys
Cons: given the above lots of garbage truck/traffic noise from early in the morning (acceptable given its location in Waikiki)

Rooms
Bedrooms : As others have mentioned the sliding panel between one of the bedrooms and the living area (where the sofa bed is located) must remain open for the air conditioning to filter in from living area to bedroom

One bedroom had no wardrobe (needed to use one near front door (made opening front door difficult)

Safe was plonked on the ground in the wardrobe of second bedroom (i imagine it wouldnt be that hard to dislodge)

Living area : OK kitchen and dining table, very stained carpets, dirty cushions and curtains

Bathroom : shower ok but bathroom sink was very strange and impractical (basically about 5 cm deep square shaped thing - cant cup hand or place cup underneath it, we ended up brushing our teeth in the kitchen sink!)

Housekeeping : change sheets every third day only (which they did), otherwise just empty rubbish bins and give us extra toilet paper (although we had to ask at reception for this one day)

Wifi
Free thoughout hotel - good connectivity

TV fine, beds reasonably comfortable (even the sofa bed, although sheets were not big enough to cover it and mattress was exposed near feet)

Summary
Although an ok stay for the fairly high price per night can probably find something cleaner. Wouldn't go back in a hurry!

Our family of six spent (my husband and I and our four children - all in their twenties) spent three nights here over the holidays. We had been thinking about a family trip to Hawaii for years and finally realized it was now or never. The expense of a trip for six was a bit daunting but with accommodations like this one, we were able to make it all work. Our room was up on the 8th floor with a partial view of the beach which was a block away and also a view of the city. The lanai was much larger then I imagined and we spent lots of time sitting out taking in the view, and the quiet street life below. Between the large lanai, the two bedrooms, a sitting area with pull-out sofa, an oversized bathroom and a kitchen area we never felt cramped. We prepared all of our breakfasts in the room - there was an ABC store right next to us where we could get eggs and bread and a fresh fruit store (Henry's) right across the street. We would eat out on the lanai and plan our day while relaxing in the sun...ahhhhh....
The room was spotless and in great condition. The linens were comfortable and the coffee/tea bar was much appreciated. The kitchen is stocked with just the basics - exactly 6 plates, cups, bowls etc but that was fine. We ate dinner in the room one night and had to be a bit creative with the pots/pans/cooking utensils but were able to make it all work. The lobby staff were very friendly and helpful and promptly dealt with our requests. The location was a big bonus - away from all the hubbub on a quiet narrow street with reasonably priced restaurants and yet the hotel is also still very close to the beach and shops. No onsite pool or hot tub or beach access BUT just a block away was the larger more upscale oceanfront Outrigger Reef and your room key gives you access to those amenities at that location! All in all, our stay was thoroughly enjoyable and we did not want to leave!

We stayed here for 12 nights in December. I did a lot of research and this place met all my requirements. We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo with our 3 teenage children.
The condo was modern and well equipped. The beds were comfortable, even the sofa bed. There are 3 TVs in the condo. Free Wifi, I was a bit worried about one bathroom but really wasn't a problem. Plenty of room we were on the third floor and I loved looking out over Beachwalk from the large Lanai. air-conditioning worked great and the kitchen was fine with a large fridge.
It was so close to everything the beach at Fort De Russy was a couple of minutes. A very safe area too. We booked direct through Ali'i Beach rentals and saved a lot of money this way. You can't use any of the Outrigger facilities but couldn't care less, we never missed having a pool and we had a car for a week and parked at Hale Koa across the road for $160 for 7 days, we just walked through the back of the Trump Towers and we were there!
I would recommend this place to families with teenagers especially as having more room is worth it and it felt more like home than a hotel room.

We stayed at the apartments for 7 days, 2 adults and 2 kids under 12 in Oct 2012. The room was lovely with a big shower (no bath), and the kitchen was great. We had a 1 bedroom apartment, so the kids slept on the sofa bed. The lounge room and bedroom both had their own tvs which was great, so the kids could watch what they wanted and we could watch what we wanted. The only downside was the split air con was in the lounge room. That said the dividing wall between the lounge room and bedroom, was bottom half solid wall and the top half was a sliding partition. Which meant you had to keep part of the partition open for the main bedroom to get the cold air. So can be a hassle in the evening when the kids are going to sleep, and the adults are still awake, as you need to close the partition and the room can get hot. That said, we always made sure the air con was left on in the evening while we went to dinner with the partition open so the apartment was cooled down when we returned, we then closed the partition when the kids went to sleep, then half opened it once they fell asleep. Easy 2 min walk to access the pool at the nearby outrigger. They apartments main door is locked and secured at 7pm. Which was great, as on a few evenings the kids wanted to stay and watch tv, so we could go out for a romantic stroll for a short while without the kids. Also, have an ABC store and 7 eleven next door to the apartments which is great. I mainly liked it as we were away from all the activities in the evening, but only a 2 minute stroll to the shops. I would highly recommend and stay here again myself. Oh, there is a hard rock cafe on the corner of the street, so nice and easy for dinner.
