We arrived a little earlier than anticipated and our rooms were not ready. We were offered cool drinks, a couple of Hawaiian music CDs, and a bellman to whisk our luggage away while we went and got some lunch. The rooms have a separate bedroom, a living room with a table and a little wet bar/countertop which was adequate for light meal/snack preparation. Small fridge and microwave. Good laundry facilities, business center (4 computers), fitness center and decent pool. The breakfast is fabulous. Fresh fruit, hot & cold cereal, scrambled eggs, hash browns, sometimes rice or fish, pancakes, french toast or waffles, bacon, sausage or ham, chef making omelettes, breads, bagel, pastries, juices, and other beverages. A great way to start the day. The Manager's Reception is not like the Homewood Suites Manager's reception which is really a dinner. In this case, really cheap drinks (maybe free - don't know), pretzels and a couple of kinds of fresh veggies - nothing substantial. There is plenty of high end shopping, easy beach access, and a variety of restaurants(including a couple of sports bars) close by. The only downside was the noisy air conditioning in the bedroom.

I love shoppping so the Embassy Suite was a great place to stay. One block from shopping. The breakfast buffet was great. The only decent night for the Manger's Reception was Monday. The rest of the week was just chips and vegetables. They do make great drinks at the Manger's Special. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I followed the advise of a fellow Trip Advisor and had the pineapple whip at the store on the bottom floor and it was excellent. The beach is across the street.

After much deliberation and e-mailing back and forth to Brent from Embassy Suites we paid in advance for a great rate for 9 nights. We (2 adults 3 teens 1 child) arrived very tired from a long flight from Brisbane, Australia at about 10a.m. and was greeted by a friendly face, cool drink and very smooth check in. We were very happy to be told we could have our room straight away as they had installed a shower chair, hand held shower and toilet seat raiser for my daughter in a wheelchair.

We arrived at our room on the 20th floor in the Hula Tower. Brent had said he would look after us and he did...... we had a lovely partial ocean view 2 bedroom suite and it was quiet... we didn't hear any noise from anywhere and wouldn't even know the Trump Tower was next door at all! The room was beautifully decorated, modern, clean and well set out. We had a king room and 2 queens in the other bedroom plus a lounge area and kitchenette separating the two.

One of the reasons we chose the Embassy Suites was the complimentary breakfast and wow did it save us $$$$$. I am now addicted to omelettes with jalapenos and I can say that after filling up on the fresh fruit, omelettes, eggs, bacon, pastries, cereal every morning we NEVER needed lunch or even a snack our whole visit. The Manager's Reception in the evening was great and it included cocktails and spirits etc... whatever you wanted and believe me they were not watered down... they were strong and good! These were served with corn chips, carrot sticks, broccoli, dips etc which were a nice little starter to your evening before you headed out.

The staff were all wonderful, friendly, helpful and went out of their way to help. Our housekeeper, in particular, (can't remember her name) was so lovely and always kept us provided with fresh fluffy towels, shower caps, shampoos etc. Nothing was ever too much trouble and she always had our room done by the time we had finished breakfast. We became very attached to her and there were hugs all around when we had to leave. She even gave my son a box of chocolates on his birthday.

I can heartily recommend this hotel to anyone... especially families as it will save you heaps of money with the free breakfast and it really is a relaxing, clean, friendly, welcoming place to stay.
