Stayed during Probowl 2013. Location to shops, coffee and dining can't be beat. This property is not on the beach but the beach is just a short walk away. warning the close by beach is bit rocky under water so wear water shoes or move your beach blanket further down Waikiki. Room was clean and predictable for this brand. Pool was not so special. However, service from housekeeping, the bellmen, valet and waitstaff at breakfast and happy hour was a great surprise. Everyone was so friendly and helpful with suggestions. We enjoyed our stay here.

Amazing location, great breakfast, very helpful staff! We booked our reservation on the Embassy website 5 months in advance knowing that Christmas time is peak season and saved over $4,000. Even though the hotel isn't directly on the beach, the view was spectacular of both mountain and ocean. Since this was our first trip to Hawaii, we came with ideas but not a set schedule/agenda. After working with Matt M. at the concierge desk for 15 minutes, our schedule was perfectly arranged for our entire vacation with wonderful recommendations (be prepared to pay at the time you're making reservations). Just make sure you get to the concierge desk early- there was a huge line later in the morning and for the rest of the day it seemed. Matt made all the difference in our vacation experience! The boardwalk shopping provided great restaurant choices, stores, and evening hula dancers that happened to be seen from our balcony. When we travel we always stay at Hilton properties but this hotel by far was our best experience from the cleanliness, service, food/drinks, and location. We WILL be back to stay!

Stayed two nights to unwind from the flight in to Hawaii and to do the Waikiki area, before heading for our holiday house on the North Shore. We had a 1 bedroom apartment on the 16th floor, and everything about our stay was good with the exception of the wifi connection, which continually dropped, if it was ever there to start with. Great pool area and bar, and there are plenty of ABC stores around to get supplies. Short five minute walk to Waikiki Beach. Kitchenette in room had a bar fridge, kettle, coffee machine and sink.

Room Tip: Get a high room for views and to get away from street noise.

LOVED IT, LOVED IT, I have stayed at a lot of hotels all over the world but this one by far is the best and if I didn't have to earn an income I would stay there for the rest of my life.
Where do I start, we were staying at another hotel that was so bad we left there after two days. Very lucky to get into this hotel for the following 14 days thanks to Hotels.com.
Location is a plus, wouldn't change a thing. THANK YOU EMBASSEY SUITES.
Spacious, everything we needed. Coffee machine, kettle for tea, microwave, huge balcony 2 X TVs etc,etc & the most comfortable bedding ever. Housekeeping was the best, very friendly and helpful. Front desk customer service was exceptional.
Free WiFi. Free breakfast with everything you could think of plus cooked to order omlette, happy hour ( 2 hours) with free cocktails, wine, beer, snacks & entertainment.
I cried when I had to leave but am already planing my return. With all the extras this hotel offers you can't go wrong. Very good value. Highly recommened. See you soon.

Our room was loaded with dust. Electrical outlets didn't work. When we tried to plug devices into them, many times shocks would fly out of the socket. Several of them didn’t work. Two light fixtures did the same thing; shocks flew out when they were turned on. Bathroom was dirty upon arrival (urine stains on toilet seat. The maid left a wet, dirty towel on our floor and since we were gone most of the day, by the time we returned, there was black mold all over the towel. Also, the vents in the bathroom did not work. One nice thing the maid did was to leave us extra amenities to use in the bathroom such as soap and lotion.
I had an asthma attack due to the dust and filth of the room. The carpets were old and torn. Also, the hinges on the wall for the locks between the two rooms had fallen off and there were only screws in its place. The blinds were so loaded with dust that you had to scrape it off. The curtains were filthy, had hand prints all over them (like mud) as did the windows. I would not spend that much to stay in such a low quality room again. Too overpriced for the quality.

We stayed at the ES from 1/22 - 1/24. For us, the stay was excellent. We were 1st time visitors to the Islands and stayed on Oahu and the Big Island for 7 nights. If you don't already know, travelling around in Honolulu can at first seem daunting as many of the roads either don't display signs or change the name of the street you are on. Beachwalk is a short one-way street and the entry to ES is towards the end. You drive into a covered area to drop off your car. Not sure if there was self parking or not as we chose valet. At a seated check-in they popped a couple of passion fruit drinks (non-alcoholic) in front of you....nice touch. We enjoyed their free breakfasts in the morning and their drinks in the evening at poolside. All the staff was amazing and very helpful. Our room was 1530 with an absolutely gorgeous view. It was a corner room with 2 different lanai's (porches for you mainlanders) and 3 different accesses to the lanais. Since I was still on mainland time AND I get up early anyway, I found myself on the lanais staring off into the beauty of Waikiki in the early morning hours. The dining close was good. Roy's is on property (it really doesn't say this, but it was right off our elevator), but we opted on our first night to walk down to Dukes and back to get a feel for our surroundings. There is a really good (and highly rated) ice cream hole in the wall right across the street from the main lobby. (Henry's place) and casual dining all over from sushi to hamburgers. We had absolutely no issues with cleanliness, noise, water pressure or bad service (the essentials in my book). I would definitely come back here again. One more note to travellers: You might think that the ocean views are the best and they might be for you, but the mountain views are also fantastic. You'll have clouds and fog wisping over rainforest covered mountians. You will not go wrong either way.

Room Tip: Room 1530 was a corner room with 2 different lanais. We slept with windows open...

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at ES. From the moment we arrived the service was superb. The Valet was waiting with a smile, the Front Desk offered a friendly greeting offering each of us a passion fruit drink. Our room was ready and clean. The evening Managers Reception offered plenty of snacks while the breakfast was beyond my hopes. Service was excellant and the food was good, fresh, and plentiful, sitting outside was an added plus. There were six of us (7 counting a baby). The kids enjoyed the pool. Towels were plentiful. There is nothing I would change with this stay and I plan to go back next year. Thank you Embassy Suites :0)
