Aloha and thank you for taking the time to post a review! I agree that our location is one of the many outstanding 'amenities' we have to offer. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and literally steps away from beautiful Waikiki Beach creates a great guest experience. Making our guests feel secure is a must. We are very fortunate to not only have a secure key process but also have a Security Department on property. Thank you for your important and valuable feedback. We consistently strive to resolve any issues that may hinder our guests experience, mahalo for your patience. Until we meet again....Aloha!

Our first stay at an Embassy Suites and a good experience. Nice pool area and the pool was pretty quiet during the day. Always plenty of sun lounges and the pool was a good temperature. Only busy time was at Managers reception when all the parents were having some free drinks and the kids were in the pool. It seems to be mostly families staying here. The rooms were fine, not huge but was great having two separate areas. Room was very clean, in fact whole hotel was clean. Nice stay

We stayed at the Embassy Suites for a week in September. This hotel is excellent for families who prefer not to stay in a hotel room. My family, 2 adults, 2 kids, had a 1-bedroom apartment. The bedroom was quite large with 2 queen beds, and there was a fold-out couch in the living area. There is a bar fridge and bench space, but I would not call the kitchenette self-contained, as we were used to coming from Australia. There was not even a teaspoon or a single plate, but there was a kettle, a coffee maker, and paper cups. Our room was very very quiet - we could hear the live music if the sliding doors were open but all music stops very early. We did not notice any bad smells as was mentioned by another reviewer. The pool is not spectacular but it is fine; there are lots of lounges and it was never very busy. I agree with another reviewer's comments that at times there were rowdy pool games going on that were not monitored by staff. The breakfast buffet was really good with a wide range to choose from. There was never a shortage of staff and all staff (bar one reception staffer) were very polite and helpful for the majority of our stay. The location is great; a short walk to the beach and just a minute's walk from the main shopping street.

We recently returned from a 7 night stay at the embassy suites. Such a fantastic hotel. We loved every minute of our stay. The staff were friendly and helpfull and our room for a family of 5 fantastic. We were in the aloha tower room 1203. Our house keeper did a fantastic job and we loved seeing her smiling face and enjoyed her talks about what to do in Hawaii. The breakfasts were fantastic as were the Managers receptions. The only suggestion I could make to improve our stay would be for management to ban ball games in the pool. Some of the "bigger" kids were just eat to rough and our smaller kids got hurt. However a fantastic hotel and we hope to return again soon.

Room Tip: Aloha tower room 1103 excellent

After an 11 day cruise from Vancouver to the Hawaiian Islands, we decided to extend our stay in Honolulu at the Embassy Suites. We were located in the Aloha towers room 1101. The room was clean, but the view was plain - not so nice part of town. . But I never expect much with Hilton rewards stays. They placed us next to the elevator (which made noise all night and all day), so nappers, this would not be a good room to stay in. We couldn't open our sliding glass door due to the horrible smells coming from the street level. But as I said, reward rooms usually are the worst locations unless you argue for a better room - which I wasn't in the mood after an 11 day cruise. Breakfast buffet was a great surprise with the addition of Miso soup, sticky rice and kimchi (which I loved!), so it made up for the smelly neighborhood and the noisy elevator. Big warning - never leave you food alone to get your coffee! The local pigeons have learned to quickly attack unattended plates and will walk all over your food looking for choice selections. We watched in horror as a flock of birds attacked one table while the entire family went to get their drinks. Manager special was good with a variety of choices mixed drinks and draft beers. I liked that they listed the available drinks on a sign so you don't have to guess what they can make. Drinks are not cheap along Waikiki, so I'd definitely recommend starting your evening there with the live music (big bonus). The location was very good for the price - two blocks from high society shopping; directly above the Yard House Pub - with over 140 beers on tap; and 1 block from waikiki beach thru a dimly lit narrow walkway (usually staffed by the local workers on their smoke break); 2 blocks from the Hale Koa Luau (highly recommended) and recreational beach for military members and families. It's wonderful that there are no private beaches, so you can plop your towel anywhere! If you want to see more, $30 can get you the waikiki on/off trolly for two days since parking at Embassy Suites was $30/night. Overall, a good location for those on a Honolulu budget!

Room Tip: Stay away from the elevators since the rooms aging and not sound proof. Aloha tower rooms located on...

My husband and I stayed here celebrating our 5th anniversary. I had read all of the reviews equally but know that a persons review is based primarily on a persons expectations. Our expectations were high based on Hilton experiences. I'm going to start by addressing some of the negative points others stated. First, lets address the breakfast. The variety of choices was pretty standard. We stayed for a little over a week and had pretty good variety for the time we were there. They do cater to the Asian clientele so there are some not so normal choices (of course an American point of view). As far as the birds are concerned. They are there, they don't bother you and swarm around you. They are there because breakfast is out on the patio. If they bother you just being around then you do have the option of wearing inside. However, the majority of the restaurants that you foot are "open" and the birds are there too. We didn't find them to be a bother at all. The rooms were great, no complaints here. We had a city view which we didn't mind. The best ocean view is from outside anyway. We stayed in the Aloha tower on the 16th floor. Our room was next to the elevator and yes you can hear it but the noise did not bother us. The key is to ask for the king rooms that are at the end of the hall instead. As far as proximity to the beach. The distance is not even a block. You can actually walk across the street and cut through the Outrigger Reef hotel and get to the beach in no time! Plus there is an awesome restaurant called the Shorebird there that is great for lunch. Roy's is located right inside of the Embassy. We celebrated our anniversary there and the food from start to finish was phenomenal!!!!! If you need souvenirs there is an ABC store on just about every corner to fit your every need for a reasonable price. Please feel free to message me if you want more info but this hotel is a must!
