“My wife's favorite”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2014

This is probably my wife's favorite hike in the entire world. It is easy, short and has wonderful views along the way. The trail is less then a mile one way and ends at Manoa falls. We have done this hike 3 times and this time the falls were as beautiful and full as ever. But even if there is not much water at the falls the hike is still worth it. The flora and fauna are beautiful. If you want to experience a little of Maui or Kawai on Oahu this is a great hike to take.

“Rain makes it worthwhile”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2014

We squeezed this in on the same day we did Diamondhead in the AM. Take theBus up, then walk up. It is a bit of a hike, but if it has rained, the falls are very nice. Catch the shave ice at Rainbows End - you won't regret it. Decided not to go to Lyon Arb - surrounded by trees as it was.

I loved this hike. Its true you have to know when the last time it rained. And its up to you. I'm sure the falls are fuller after it rains but the trail will be very slippery as well. Also if you're a lost fan like me, there's a guy who works there who has tattoos of the characters, and they filmed many scenes both on the hiking trail and in the building where there are snacks before the trail head

“Rainforrest Hike”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2014

This was such a wonderful and scenic hike. My wife and I took a bunch of beautiful pictures and it significantly contributed to our Hawaii experience. It was slighly raining when we went last week, but we actually welcomed the rain as it enhanced the rainforrest experience. It is a much needed break from hustle and bustle of Waikiki. We are so glad we did this hike. The hike itself was easy and only took about 1.5 hours to go up to the falls and back, which included the several stops we took to take beautiful pictures. The total cost of the hike is only $5 for parking and was the best $5 I've ever spent. Seeing the Manoa Falls is a must if in Oahu!

This short walk is a fabulous visit to the other slice of life on the island. You immense yourself in green trees in this short 0.8 mile walk to a beautiful waterfall.
